"And there was something else, too. There was something in people's
eyes, when they looked at me, something new. It was something harsh, and
cold -- and it was something I'd earned. So out I went, away from it all,
away from everything." -- Kurt Busiek's Astro City, Vol. 2, No. 13.

	I quit.

Anyone who wants to finish my stories, ask.

	Bie liao.

What the FUCK?

If I said I liked everything you wrote, Chris, I'd be a liar. I do like a
lot, though. But quitting writing over an email flamewar? That's a big, fat
load of prairie patties and no mistake, bud.

You are not obliged to write for anybody else, true- but quitting in spite
because of sniping by others is a coward's way out- and quitting because of
rash things you might have said is even worse!!

I have placed everything DDFA-related straight to my trash bin, because his
writing does not interest me, and hashing and flaming over it is even less
interesting. I have my own projects to work on (all of which are stalled
between White Lightning Productions and writing scripts for its first
X-rated pro comic), and once I've looked at a series and decided I don't
care for it, I see no reason to keep watching it, or its aftereffects.

Maybe I should have kept a closer watch, because this little authorial
equivalent of a suicide note hit me like a 2X4 across the temples.

Maybe it's not a suicide note, but it has the same general purpose; to
attract sympathy and shame others while you wallow in your self-pity. Well,
I don't feel sympathetic, I don't feel ashamed, and I don't have any pity to
contribute.

If you have good reason to postpone or kill outright your stories, Chris,
that's your business, but I hope you'd have the dignity not to end one of
the most distinguished fanwriting legacies because of pettiness and
short-sighted bickering.

Get your head straight, and get back to work. }:-{D
