Which lead to something even more profitable, blackmail! Hey, think about
it folks. There's been lots of talk about joining one side or another,
and the suggestion of selling out information was vetoed, since you'd have
to prove your credability to everyone else, and by that time, the series
would be over. (Sure, mister...Mason's still alive even after we spilled
his guts over the tower top. Tell us another one.)

When you're being blackmailed, you have three options. One, you can pay
them, and keep on paying them forever. Two, you can go to the cops, and
have the whole world know your little secret. Three, you can silence the
blackmailer.
If you were Genom (or, to a lesser extent, Sylia), which option would you
pick?
In either case, how would you manage to pick up your ill-gotten loot?

Hey, if everything was easy, what would one write about in the fic?

Ahh, the beauty of being a SI character: no records and no background.
Genom and Sylia would have to find me to shoot me, and that's easier said
than done if you don't exist on record. As to how to pick up the money
w/o being caught, I am sure there are ways to conceal wire transfers.
Have not thought of exactly how this would be done (since laundering money
and blackmail is not something I do daily. Really.), but to my knowledge,
Genom doesn't control all of the communications networks yet.

But still, getting it, hiding it, and spending it without being caught is
really what the challenge is, right?

Oh, and to the FFML at large, this is an idea that I won't be working on
for some time, so if anyone wants it, go right ahead (but let me know,
please).
