Yes, Ryoga's death is sick, and disturbing.  THAT'S THE POINT.

An off-hand remark about boiled pork (which Ranma never got to taste I
might add, the Panda and the guide ate it all, remember) and people get
all upset. ;-)

I presume from that, the desired effect was obtained?

I'm anxious to see the Shampoo scenes.

Shampoo doesn't go to Jusenkyo until after she turns up in Nerima and
goes after Onna-Ranma.  Assuming she doesn't carry through with her
mission, she should be well warned of the dangers, while if she does
carry through - then she doesn't need to go to Jusenkyo.

That's a good theory....

And what does theory have to do with practice... a question whose answer
often 
dissappoints theorists.

Still in this case Shampoo could be a lot of fun, she drops by Nerima to
kill the
female Ranma... and in this world there's no reason for her to break down
and 
back off the way she did in the original.  No "romantic" complications
should 
arise - no male Ranma, Ryouga is thought unlikely to appear and no one else
in
Nerima is likely to be able to beat her.

Hmmm... pity Ukyou doesn't turn up for a while. ;-)
