Okay, you've got a self-insert character in the
BGC universe.  Let's look at this realistically
(well, as realistic as possible).

1) Sylia would sooner shoot you than trust you
   once you reveal you know everything about her.

2) Genom's a big corporation.  They've got a lot
   of employment opportunities, I'm sure.  Always
   looking for good managerial talent, yeah?

Playing Devil's Advocate here, why, aside from
do-gooder morality, would you not want to join
Genom instead?

They're the top dogs.  They run the world.
Everyone in the organization wears suits.
If you ask to join them, they're less
likely than Sylia to kill you.  Heck,
do a good job and you'll get benefits.

How can ya not like that?  I'd be a Genom
lackey in a heartbeat.

For reasons of finance, health, and 
logic, Genom's the choice.
