Yes... strange as it is, despite all of their little... psychological
quirks... not of the Eva cast are quite right for Kodachi...

No, no, no.  Kaworu is so utterly unlike Shampoo...more importantly, if
Cologne is Keele, then why would Kaworu be his goon?  Doesn't work for me.

Now, Cologne as Keele works, although I like the idea of Happousai as
Keele better.  Since Genma was Happy's disciple, and Gendou is under
Keele.

Hmmm... I was just thinking that, as Shinji isn't exactly a "Ranma"
archetype either, it might not be a bad change. The situation with how the
whole thing is arranged might have to be changed around a bit, such as
Kaworu fighting Rei(Shinji-chan ^_^), and Gendou... removing them from the
situation when he finds that his son would have to become the amazon boy's
_wife_. Then later, when Kaworu finds that Shinji is really a boy, it's
exceedingly easy to picture Kaworu sacrificing himself and returning to
the tribe a failure, rather than killing Shinji. This would assume a
precedent somewhere in Amazon law about outsider females defeating
villager males. Or, you could simply say that the kiss of death works for
amazon men too, and have Shinji fight as a boy. 

It would get really confusing either way, and would be emotional hell for
all involved, which is why i though it fit with the tone of Evangelion.
Hikari might work too, which would mean that it would be back exactly like
Ranma canon, except that i don't really buy Hikari falling for Shinji...

I like the image of Keele going on happosai-esque panty raids though
^_^... All the while keeping the whole stone cold SEELE demeanor thing
going...

Ahh...the class representative.  I think.  I think Kaworu would do better
here, despite being the wrong sex.  Fits the 'Friend' role, even if Kaworu
is not an old friend, but since Shinji doesn't HAVE any old friends...

This is true. Hmmm... If Kaworu's father discovered that Gendou was trying
to turn Shinji into a "man among men" then perhaps he might get it into
his head to have Gendou watch over Kaworu for a while... Then you have the
thing where Gendou screws them over and leaves Kaworu behind, but i just
get the feeling that Kaworu would have taken it oh-so-much better than
Ukyou did...

Keele.  If Gendou = Genma, then Keele = Happousai :)
