Okay. I believe I will continue this. This is just mental doodlings for
now. Let me know what you think.
All characters in this belong to Rumiko Takahashi, blah, blah, blah...
T-bone Productions Presents:
The Stuff Dreams are Made Of -- Part One
Once upon a time, there was...
"A princess!" you may say.
Ha ha. Joke's on you. There *is* no princess in this story. Or rather,
there is, but she's not the main character.
You see, these type of stories may begin predicatably, but you must always
watch out for sudden twists. Otherwise, you can easily get lost.

"Arrgh! Where the heck am I now?!"
Ryoga scratched his head and turned the map around again. The retailer who
had sold it to him had said it was an accurate map, right down to the very
street he needed to go. Lately, however, Ryoga felt that he had been
gypped. He wasn't a geography expert, but he was almost positive Japan did
*not* look like a boot.
He exhaled loudly and looked about, trying to ascertain his surroundings by
landscape. He was a street that looked like any other city street: shops,
boutiques, people wandering about, laughing, talking, brooding. The signs
he read were in Japanese, so he figured that he was in the correct country.
The correct neighborhood, now, that was another story.
He was about to ask an elderly woman selling flowers for directions to
Nerima when an explosion went off down the street. He turned just in time
to see a guy with tousled brown hair tumble to the ground, shrieking.
Another shriek accompanied it, not of horror, but of wrath. "You
abominable scumbag PERVERT!!!"
A girl dashed onto the street, and immediately Ryoga scrambled for his
nose. She glared up and down the street, her chest heaving, making the
leather bikini she wore rise up and down violently. She finally caught
sight of the brown-haired boy and whipped an obscenely-large
rocket-launcher from behind her back. "DIE YOU HENTAI!!!"
The boy squawked and scurried back on all fours. "Benten-chan! It's not
what you think!"
"Stop beating on him!" A soft voice suddenly cried out next to Ryoga. "If
anyone should be beating on Darling, it should be me, d'tcha!"
Ryoga was about to turn to see who had spoken next to him when the leather
girl abruptly swung her gun around to train it on his sights. "You shut
up!" she shouted. "If you keep your stupid 'dah-ling' in tow, I wouldn't
have to blow his brains out!" Her finger squeezed the trigger.
Ryoga scooped up the person next to him and leaped straight up in the air
as the missile sailed beneath him, crashing into a parked car a block away.
The leather girl spat out a curse and raised the gun again--and dropped it
with a shriek.
"I'm telling ya, Benten-chan!" The brown-haired guy had sneaked behind her
and was now covering the bikini top with his bare hands. "This bikini is
waaay to small for you. Here, let me cover it with something a little
better!"
"EEEEEK! JERK! JERK! JERK! JERK! JERK!" The leather girl punctuated each
word with a bash from her gun. She then took off screaming down the
street, the boy chasing her with outstretched arms, gleefully calling her
name.
Ryoga snorted as he watched them go. "Man, with loonies like that running
the streets, no wonder the suicide rate is rising." He suddenly realized
that he was carrying someone and quickly added, "not to sound callous or
anything--I mean, it was meant as a joke--that is, uh--I mean..."
His voice trailed away as he found himself staring into the largest pair of
blue eyes he had ever seen. Eyes as pure as the sky, innocent and wide.
Eyes that swallowed him whole and kept going and going to his barest soul,
his essence. He couldn't speak, couldn't even move, could only gaze into
the beautiful blueness the mirrored the calmnest of oceans, the songs of
the dolphins.
Then she sneezed.
The delicate sound snapped whatever spell that was between them, and the
girl's face switched from surprise to mortification. "Oh! I'm so sorry!
I-I didn't mean to--!"
"No! It's all right! Really!" Ryoga hastily placed her on the ground and
pulled a bandanna from his head to present to her. He pulled off another
one to wipe his own face. "I, uh, guess I was holding you to close, heh,
heh."
She gently dabbed her lips and smiled. She stood almost the same height as
him, clad in a dark blue uniform with a yellow neckerchief. Her most
striking feature, besides her eyes, was her aqua-colored hair, which
spilled down around her shoulders. Somewhere in that glorious hair, he saw
two brown points, but he didn't give it a thought. In fact, he wasn't
thinking much of anything at the moment.
"It's okay. It's me who should apologize." She said. "I usually don't go
around sneezing in people's face, unless it's my--" She stopped, and her
eyes grew even wider. "Darling! Oh no! I forgot! I have to go!" She turned
from him, paused, and looked at him over her shoulder. "Thanks for your
help, d'tcha!"
Ryoga's bashful grin dropped, along with the rest of his face, as the girl
gracefully rose into the air, did a lazy somersault, said "Bye-bye d'tcha!"
and flew off down the street in the direction of the leather girl and the
crazy guy.
Ryoga stood there for a long time. Then, slowly, he sunk to his knees,
still reeling over what he had just seen. Slowly, he shook his head and
breathed, "This is definately *not* Nerima."

I always wanted to do a Ranma 1/2 - Urusei Yatsura crossover. Hopefully,
I'll be able to write it in between all the other stuff that's going on.
After all, planning a wedding *does* take up your time.
Wedding, you may ask? Ah yes. Well, what can I say? I had an interesting
weekend. Very, very, *very* interesting weekend. ;-)
