Now the argument shifts to "what is Leifker trying to say?" If he's
suggesting that Ranma's personality DOES change as he changes sexes, then the
idea of Ranma "prefering" one mode of gender over the other is colored by his
preferences DEPENDING on his CURRENT sex. While it is clear that
thoughts transition intact, Leifker clearly indicates that there
is an emotional divergence between Ranma-male and Ranma-female and thereby
those personalities react differently to certain thoughts and emotional
states.

---
Ranma's current gender makes no difference in 'Clothes Make the...' you all
are looking for a curse-related explanation for Ranma's behavior when the
only real explanation is that he is finding that he likes being feminine and
being a girl. Nick isn't trying to imply that Ranma's attitude changes with
his sexual state, he is implying rather directly that Ranma simply likes
being feminine and by the end of chapter 7 that he is having a lot of conflict
with himself over those feelings.

In this fic Ranma-male *is* Ranma-female, and that is where I see major
conflict in the coming chapters. Remember that in the beginning Ranma
said he was a 'guy in a dress' and it was Kasumi's suggestion that he try
out being a girl for a while to see what it was like.
