Well, the last two messages I posted gave me weird mailer errors, so I am
posting both of my replies. Sorry in advance if this appears on the list
twice.

I seriously doubt she could destroy Dark One on her own. ^_^
If that's so, then how's Rand going to do it? No offense to Al'Thor fans
(I like the guy myself),
The answer to this one is simple. He's _NOT_ going to destroy the Dark One. He
_CAN'T_. If Rand _did_ destroy the Dark One that would stop the Wheel from turning
as effectively as the Dark One getting free. Remember, this is the umpteenth time
that Rand has faced the Dark One because this is the umpteenth time that the Third
Age has come around.
but it seems to me that Lina could mop the floor
with half the Tower with the kind of powers at her disposal. Sure, Rand
has an army of Aiel at his back, but unless they can channel, I doubt they
will be of any real use at the final battle, except to distract the Dark
One's minions.
This just triggered another thought...
The two really significant attacks that all of the powerful channelers use
against other hyper-powered channelers are shields and balefire. If Lina
draws her power from a different source, then the shields are probably
useless, right? And if she isn't from Randland, then she doesn't have a
thread in the Tapestry that balefire can burn out, does she?
this depends on how extensive the Tapestry is. The Tapestry is just the Randland
model of existance. It seems to encompass alternate universes, so there's no reason
that the Slayers universe couldn't be part of the Tapestry. And even if it wasn't,
as soon as Lina appeared in Randland the Wheel would weave a new thread into the
Tapestry, hers.
Now, my two cents: I'd like to see how people would react to Zel and Gourry
and Naga. Zel would probably be mistoken for some kind of Trolloc (even with
the mask)
Well, Zel -IS- 1/3 daemon.
wait a sec...Zel uses magic...anyone want to see the Red sisters try and take on
Zelgadis? and lose ^_^
Like Rand isn't already. Come to think, wonder what 'ole Dragon-boy
would
do
when he heard of the Dragon SLAVE attack...
now the big question is: what happens if the WoT characters are capable of using
Slayers magic. There's the obvious: Rand tossing around Dragon Slaves (as if the
guy needed _more_ power) and the less obvious Nynaeve tossing around Fireballs,
Avienda puling off a Raw Tilt, Elayne constructing the Ter'angreal equivalent of the
Light Sword...
Now would somebody just make use of all this spam and write it already!
In any case, this story has the potential for a great epic, but one that I
don't have the time to explore fully. I -WOULD- like to help in any way
that I can, but I don't think that I could tackle a project like this
myself.
don't look at me, I've got too much stuff to do already
