posting both of my replies.  Sorry in advance if this appears on the list

It doesn't draw power from Shabranigdo, it draws power from what Shabranigdo
is made of; hate, fear, etc. 

Don't know about that. There was something about this in NEXT, I think.
But since I haven't seen those episodes, I can't be sure.
It may be that all powerful spells of Black Magic draw power from Mazoku.

If you remember the episode right after Rodimus and Mummy-man get killed
by Shabranigdo, Lina explains that the some of the opening words of the
Dragon Slave chant refer to Shabranidgo.  It seems pretty clear that the
Dragon Slave -DOES- draw off of him.  As for the reference from NEXT, I
wish I could confirm that, but haven't found where to get those tapes
(D*** it!  When's April going to arrive?! I want my tapes!)
 

I seriously doubt she could destroy Dark One on her own. ^_^

If that's so, then how's Rand going to do it?  No offense to Al'Thor fans
(I like the guy myself), but it seems to me that Lina could mop the floor
with half the Tower with the kind of powers at her disposal.  Sure, Rand
has an army of Aiel at his back, but unless they can channel, I doubt they
will be of any real use at the final battle, except to distract the Dark
One's minions.

This just triggered another thought...

The two really significant attacks that all of the powerful channelers use
against other hyper-powered channelers are shields and balefire.  If Lina
draws her power from a different source, then the shields are probably
useless, right?  And if she isn't from Randland, then she doesn't have a
thread in the Tapestry that balefire can burn out, does she?

Now, my two cents: I'd like to see how people would react to Zel and Gourry
and Naga. Zel would probably be mistoken for some kind of Trolloc (even with
the mask) 

Well, Zel -IS- 1/3 daemon.

That's a possibility. The Sword of LIGHT. The people of Randland worship the
light (in a sense.) They might see Gourry as some kind of avenging angel. I
can see the Whitecloaks reaction now...

It's actually "Dragu Slave", so he probably wouldn't even make the

connection.

      The spell name is 'Dragon Slave' the only time I ever seen

'Dragu-slave' is

in one Slayers movie and that was in a fansub. I would guess it would be
'Dragu-slave' if she is in a mass destruction mode and slurs a bit.

If you listen closely to the Japanese, I think you'll find that the word
she says is Dragu, not Dragon.  Oh well, does this really need to be
debated?  It's sort of like trying to decide whether to write Shi Shi
Hokoudan, or Roaring Lion Bullet.

Now would somebody just make use of all this spam and write it already!

Repeating myself from my first post, is someone planning to write this?
Anyone?  To do this myself, I'd have to re-read all of the WoT novels
(been about a year since I read the last one), and wait till April for
when NEXT is released (not like I was planning to miss it, anyway :)  ).

In any case, this story has the potential for a great epic, but one that I
don't have the time to explore fully.  I -WOULD- like to help in any way
that I can, but I don't think that I could tackle a project like this
myself.
