Another WoT meets Anime debate. God help us all.

It's inevitable.

Well, the Red's might want to recruit her, but otherwise I don't see them
taking an interest in her other than that would be taken in any other wilder
with insane powers.

Most don't have Lina's insane powerleves or her skill.

Well, if you want to play on the shock value of Lina's appearance on WoT
world, you should give her access to Source of All Power instead Saidar/
Saidin.
(can't remember which is the female side. ^_^;;)

Or here's a thought: make Magic and the One Power totally seperate things.
Nobody ever said that the One power is the ONLY thing you could use in
Randland. It would actually be pretty interesting; somebody tries to slap a
shield on her, and she's still throwing fireballs around.

That's what I meant by 'giving her access to Source of All Power.'

Where'd THIS come from? As far as I can tell, there are no rules like this in
Tower law. After all, they regularly boot out Novices and Accepted who have
some channeling ability without gentling them. The only thing they'll come
down on you for is impersonating an Aes Sedai, and since Lina wouldn't do
that, she may be safe.

Thing is since the White Tower is the only place where somebody can learn to
channel with any effectiveness, they would never have had to worry about
someone like Lina.

Now they would have. I wonder what they'd do...

And, Lina doesn't pull off the Dragon Slave without outside help.
Dragon Slave gets power from Shabranigdo. And if Shabranigdo isn't around,
I don't know if she could use the Dragon Slave. Even if she could,
certainly
 not on a regular basis.

It doesn't draw power from Shabranigdo, it draws power from what Shabranigdo
is made of; hate, fear, etc.

Don't know about that. There was something about this in NEXT, I think.
But since I haven't seen those episodes, I can't be sure.
It may be that all powerful spells of Black Magic draw power from Mazoku.

I seriously doubt she could destroy Dark One on her own. ^_^ After all, she
needed the Hikari no Ken and Rezo's and Lord of Nightmares' help
to kill a fragment of Shabranigdo. But if she got her hands on a power
boosting artefact, she could probably Break the world again, or at least
freely throw around Dragon Slaves, which would cause havoc.

Like Rand isn't already.

Different kind of havoc. The havoc Lina causes is very personal, quick and
explosive.
She doesn't start wars, since after she's visited a place, there's nobody
left to fight in one. ^_^

Come to think, wonder what 'ole Dragon-boy would do
when he heard of the Dragon SLAVE attack...

Depens on his insanity-level. ^_^

Or what would people think if she was yanked to WoT world in the middle
of TRY storyline? Especially if Firia was with her. After all, Firia
 is a golden dragon. ^_^

Well, the people in Randland have literally NO idea what A dragon is. They
only associate the word with THE Dragon, and they always capitalize it, since
it's a proper noun. Nobody knows anything about the animal, even though it's
right there on the Dragon Banner. They'd probably mistake Firia for some kind
of new Shadowspawn.

I don't think they'd take Firia for a shadowspawn. After all, Firia-dragon is
almost in the overcute-category. (if you're interested, there's a picture
of her in Royal Fool's image gallery.)

Now, my two cents: I'd like to see how people would react to Zel and Gourry
and Naga. Zel would probably be mistoken for some kind of Trolloc (even with
the mask)

Like that mask hides his metallic hair...

Well, Rock-boy doesn't really like crowds, and wouldn't come to big cities.
But in villages they might cause quite an upset. (First, Lina, Gourry and
Amelia each order enough food to feed twenty people. Then people notice
Zelgadis. They would get a bad rep, fast. ^_^)

and Naga... well, you've seen what she wears.

Plus she has ten copies of her running around. ^_^

Gourry would be the only one to fit in, and that's until he pulls out the
Sword of Light.

Well, I don't think normal humans in Randland can jump the way he and other
Slayers characters can. Twenty yard hops start to be a little superhuman...

That's a possibility. The Sword of LIGHT. The people of Randland worship the
light (in a sense.) They might see Gourry as some kind of avenging angel. I
can see the Whitecloaks reaction now...

<snip whitecloack bit>

Hey, it could happen. No, really!!!!

Nothing's too weird when Lina's around. ^_^
