I'm going to be posting something probably later tonight, and I wanted to
saw a few words before I did so.

If anyone's checked my web page recently, you'll see a reference to a
self-insertion fic I'm working on called God's Toy.  I'm working on it
because every time I sit down to write for any of my other works, I find
myself getting so damn frustrated I have to stop.  It's not writer's block,
I just canit write.  This is a bit of a different fic for me, first of all
because of the setting it's in - Bubblegum Crisis.

It's different in a couple other ways too.  It's the first fic where I've
actually used technical reference material...gee the BGC RPG is fun.

Yes, I know, BGC self-insertions have been done to death, and done well.
Hopelessly Lost (Gryphon & Megazone), Twisted Path Ch 3 (Twister), and
Bubblegum Zone (Bert Van Vilet) were the three I know of.  They're very good
works, BUT...they implement the idea in remarkably similar ways, and I
thought it could use some tweaking.

(As I told some friends, a big "WAI" to whomever can come up with more than
one of my personal gripes with those fics.)

So...watch later today for it.  I welcome C&C, but I should warn y'all - I'm
writing this fic for the sheer enjoyment of it.  It's the first fic in a
while I've done that's been well...FUN to write, from begining to end.
