I sorta forgot this bit in my coments earlier:
Ranma is probably scared out of his wits by this realization.
He's just starting to see that not only is this freeing in the way that
only cosplay really can be, but, so far as he can see, there is no
_real_ cost to it.
Sure, everyone is worried about him because of her story about the
change, but that isn't much of a problem.
Most of his friends are actually less annoying than usual, and others
have been dealt with in a way that would not have been possible as a
male.
He's spent vast amounts of energy on maintaining his manhood, and
suddenly finding out that it wasn't necessary (or percieving it as
having been unnecessary, which is effectively the same thing) turns all
of it into a wasted effort.
Realizing that one's put that much effort into something _for no good
reason_ will really muck with one's day.
One is then left with the choice of throwing more energy into whatever,
in the hope of actually making it work, or just scrapping the whole
thing, and neither of the options will look good in such a situation.
ja ne,
Suika (Ranma may well believe what she is saying, as she says
it. if so, that too is going to scare the bejeesus out of her)
