Now here's a doozy.

I've read most of the responses, and I actually agree with all of them, they
sound like very good ways to plot out fanfics.

I'd like to say something about the "madness factor", which I try to
incorporate (or tried, or will try) in writing.  I think that writing 
(especially chronological writing) has to be as suspenceful to the writer
as it 
is to the reader.  I'm sure that sometimes a writer will just fall into the 
problem of "by the numbers" wherein things will just flow into formula.
There 
are parts that make good use of this, in fact, there are times when things
will 
fall back on this. However, some people will do this, then delete the
offensive 
portion.

"Madness factor" is that point in time in which a writer, probably having a
plot or a decent idea of things that will happen, will see the scene in a 
completely different light.  Something snaps into place, and suddenly, a
character does something completely breaking the overwhelming mood of the 
scene.  It may be in character, it may even be out of character.  It might fit
the story well, bridging main point and touching points you couldn't figure
out how to squeeze in, or it might leave the scene hanging and awkward.

It is the main reason why I could only loosely plot stories.  As they say,
"I don't believe in miracles, I count on them."  It's the spice of the writer.
It may not make for an overall crowd-pleasing fic, but it will sure help
relieve long scenes that just won't slide.

At worst, you'd have spent some time practicing your writing.  That's the
second reason why keyboards have a "delete" button.
