I don't think It is so much a parasyte as it is a guardian spirit of some
sort. D is after all a supernatural being.  Perhaps it is mearly a part of
him.  A sort od duality, he is both Human and Vampire.  I have not read
Parasyte yet in Mixxzine, I guess I will, when I get home.  BTW does any one
know where I can find issue #2 o mixxzine???  I have 1,3, and 4.  Thanks.

I only saw one movie that appeared to just be titled "Vampire Hunter D."

There were some things that were a little confusing, like there should
have been some movie before this one.  (spoiler :) The one I saw
involved a girl named Doris, who had bitten by a lecherous Count Lee,
and who had a younger brother, Dan.  D comes to save the day, the girl
falls in love with him, he defeats Count Lee, and rides off, with the
implication that he is the son of Dracula.

My question is about the thing in his hand.  The only thing that I think
it could be is a parasyte, as mentioned in the manga story, in
Mixxzine.  That parasyte go stuck for some reason in a boy named Shin's
hand, this seems to be the case with D.  Is that what it is?  Or am I
totally of base?  The first time it talked was when D was drawing his
sword, so I thought it _was_ the sword, which wouldn't have been too
unusual.
