To correct a few points about Maze, so people won't get the wrong idea
about it from Haze's 'serious essay'.

Say, has anyone ever done a Maze fanfic?  If you haven't had the chance,

This anime concerned wandering princess will all the character traits of
C-ko, named Mill and her female mage protector, Maze.  Mill frequently
glomps onto Maze with even more quesionable than C-ko.

Haze, you should have watched the tv series.  Mill views Maze as her
"oniichan/oneechan".  The more adult attractions that others display
towards Maze threaten to take away her only family member, thus her
jealousy.  Mill is rather clueless when it comes to sex and such (the
skeletons they find in the castle dungeon are a good example).  My greatest
disappointment was never getting to see the adult Mill we caught glimpses
of in the eyecatchers and ending animations of the tv series.

gratuitious is the fact that, by some unexplained phenomenon, Maze is a
"were-Hentai", ie when the sun goes down, she turned into a really sinister
horny guy.  Another exeplained phenomenon is that fact that Maze were Levi
genes and a cotton button down shirt, where as every one else has
stereotypical Fantasy gear.

Maze is from our Earth and she's been sucked into another world.  The jeans
and shirt was all she was wearing at the time (fortunately for male Maze).
Maze is not a were-anything, but to say more would be a spoiler for the
later part of the tv series.  The world they're in is, well, sort of
another, sort of the future, I wasn't clear on this from the tv series.
Again, the OVAs were a one shot story from a long running manga, and the tv
series did a far better job of explaining the background.  Remember that a
lot  of Japanese animation is done for a target audience that already knows
all about the universe it takes place in and the characters, etc.
