Just a belated thought. While I suspect the godesses are

that they aren't _quite_ baseline humans?
Hmm.. that's a thought. Thoughts anyone?

Seems reasonable. But it really depends on your assumptions about the
goddesses -- and the nature of their power. Do they channel it, or
generate it? Even if it's inherent to them, is it necessarily something
that would register on mundane sensors?

Well, at one level, Ifurita has 'dimensional' abilities, so presumably
she has sensors. This is necessary if she's going to manipulate
spacetime effectivly. _However_ you can get around that by assuming she
needs to be operating in a 'high power' mode to do so.

However, the first time they do anything strange around her, she _will_
notice, and probably deduce the instigator.

Now, in terms of the story, it would be ...interesting... if both sides
know there's something special about the other, but not that the other
knows the same about them...

Heh. In this case, the Norns know there's something distinctly odd
about her, they know she's from another dimension, older than
civilisation and has an incredible amount of blood on her hands, but
it's going to be a complete surprise to Ifurita and Makoto..

By the way, has anyone out there but me considered the possibilities of
_BUGS_?
