Me too. In fact Saf and I are talking about listing this sort of thing
in the next FAQ update as one of the dead horses that doesn't need to be
beaten any more.

As a writer of Ranma fics, I get irate whenever someone tells me I
should be writing something else. Neither should anyone be told to write
Ranma fics if that's not what they want to do.

Write whatever you want, whatever you have the creative vision for; but
let other people write what they want. If you don't like the anime/manga
series that someone uses for his/her fics, *no one is forcing you to
read it,* so just leave that story and look for something else.
