<Rant Mode: ENGAGED>

OK, I usually try to restrain myself from contributing to spam threads, but
this one annoyed me.

I hadn't meant to cause an uproar...

Tarot, someone has to be the first person to write a fiction.  Given, RoLW
isn't at that level, but it's pretty close.

There are other RoLW fanfics out there?  I haven't seen any...

By your argument, I should never have writen OMB.  LilTigre should have
never have started on Hidden Fires.  Sean Gaffney should abandon
his...er...Lovely Angels fic because its been eclipsed in popularity by
Ranma.  Richard should never have done his Nuku Nuku fics.  RPM should drop
his OMG crossovers....  We should all be writing Ranma, Sailor Moon, Tenchi
Muyo!, and Neon Genesis Evangelion, since those are the most popular anime
out right now.

Actually, that isn't what I meant at all.  It was a suggestion to
Hunter Kid (which I admittedly should have sent via private email; I
think I just ruined my lurker status here ^_-) that he should continue
writing what's been successful, as I believe his previous Ranma work
has been.

Sometimes, Tarot, the authors get bored of writing in the same series all
the time.  Sometimes, the readers get bored of reading the same series all
the time.  Without that variety, I expect a lot of people would get really
bored really fast.

And while I'm rambling, here's a paraphrased statement someone once said:
"I'm writing this work for ME most of all."  Yes, I, and everyone else her
likes to get feedback about their fics, and likes to see people are reading
them.  But do you really think we're in this for the praise?

I wouldn't say it's out of the question. ^_^

Hunter Kid, IMHO, Kiss of Steel is the best work I've seen from you.  I
truly enjoyed it, and I'm anxiously awaiting more.

I liked those spamfics he used to write, but what the hell... ^_-
