To those people who have expressed an interest in seeing
"Wedding Peach 1/2", let me say that I do intend to write this. For
the rest of you - hey, you can just skip it when it comes out.
I had heard of "Wedding Peach", but knew very little about
it until a few episodes turned up in a pile of fansubs I borrowed
from my brother. I watched them, and liked them. When I checked
into what happeened during the rest of the series, this story
was born.
When it comes out depends on whether I decide to write a
one-shot or an ongoing series. The one-shot I could write now.
For the series, I'd have to see the rest of the anime.
One point - this is not a fusion, but a cross-over/alternate
history. During the big battle with Uragano, the same thing
happened to Angel Salvia that happened to Celeste - she fell to
earth wounded and amnesic. She was found and adopted by a childless
couple, who gave her the name - Nodoka.
Thus Ranma is in fact a half-angel, half-human hybrid. The series
would pre-date the introduction of Salvia in the anime - probably
before Jamapi was converted - and continue from there, pulling the
Ranmaverse characters into the war between the akuma and the tenshi
and the quest for the Sacred Something Four. Ranma/Angel Peony becomes
the fourth Ai no Tenshi, much to his/her dismay. Like I said, to do an
ongoing series properly means I'll have to get hold of the rest of the
anime, so I'll have to decide if that will be too much of a problem.
That's it for the moment. I was thinking about a fusion involving
Rayearth/Wedding Peach - Hikaru/Momoko works, as does Fuu/Yuri. But
Umi/Hinagiku is a stretch. Emeraude/Aphrodite is okay, and
Zagato/Reine Devila would put a weird spin on things, but who would
be Limone? Ferrio? Clef?? Nah, I don't think so. I guess I'll go back
to that Urusei Yatsura/Mahou Tsukai Tai cross-over, and I still want
to do something with Saber Marionette J and Bakuen Campus Guardress.
So many ideas, so little time.
