This is great, thank you all.  I'm sorry, I should have specified
that the military service in question was the Japan Ground Self-Defence
Force, which is an existing military service.  I've checked out their 
webpage and the Japan Defence Agency webpage, but their legal proceedings
are not available information.  I've e-mailed them to see if I can get some
info that way.

However, several people mentioned that such an offense would most likely
result in a dishonorable discharge, which is exactly where I want the fic to
go!  The information on General and Summary Court Martial was very helpful,
as well as the general attitude of a military court of law, that the accused
has to prove the charges false rather than the prosecutor proving them guilty.  

Thank you very much!  I figure the fic should be finished in a couple of
weeks (barring fire, flood, and midterm).
