It has come to mind that perhaps some additional notes are needed with my
story "Lost and Forgotten" so I figured that a seperate post would remedy
some of that.  First off the continuity, this takes place somewhere all the
OAV's, whenever they happened in the chronology.  Ranma's mom still doesnt
know his secret, Konatsu, Akari, Tarou and a few late arrivals have yet to
appear.  Since I've never seen/read anything about the encounter with Herb
that hasn't happened either.  I don't know how much bearing anything
besides Ranma's mother will have to do upon my story though.

As to the story, well, if you've read it you'll know that its a new
character/insert fic.  But I'm doing my best to make a character that's not
perfect, not craftier then Nabiki and not a better fighter then Ranma.  No
goofy made up special attacks like "FLYING SPOON KICK" or anything like
that either.  I've also tried to add a new bent to the introduction of the
character instead of going the "exchange student" route or something like
that.  I'm also going to try to avoid solving everyone's problems in the
story, maybe one or two may be changed slightly, but on the whole the love
polygon (too many damned people for it to be just a triangle and I dont
know just how many sides there would be including everyone in the
Ranma-verse) will remain as many-sided as ever, I think.

Some of this fic will most like call to mind parts of others, there have
been so many Ranma fics out there that it would be hard not to share some
similarity with them.  I will also state that I've most likely borrowed a
few jokes from other stories, perhaps unintentionally, perhaps because it
was a good gag and needed to be used.  I'm going to try to keep the tone of
this mainly light and humorous, I don't see any rampaging eldritch horrors
in the future of this story, or if they are they'll most likely be jokes in
themselves.

Well, I can't think of anything more to say but ask that you read and enjoy
my ongoing work of fanfiction and let me know what I can do to make this,
my first long story, work better.
