Top Finishers in the 1997 Readers' Choice Annual Poll

Congratulations to the winners!  I would like to point out that, of the
fourteen fics eligible, all received at least four votes.  Many of the
people casting ballots commented on how difficult the decision was.

Anyone else notice all the fanfics being voted on these lists are basically Ranma fanfics? 
Could it be that only fans of Ramna fanfiction bother to take part in rigged polls like these?
