I'm not sure how anyone or anything can defeat
the technique.  I'm not even sure if anyone has the mechanics down.

Herb was able to defeat the technique and Ranma had to modify it to
defeat him the technique was called Hiryu Shoten Korin Dan (I think).

But I wanna know HOW Herb defeated the technique.  I mean, come on.
Once a tornado starts, it's a bit difficult to stop it until the balance
between hot and cold are re-established.  Any Ranma buff wanna tell me
how it was defeated?

Well, the tchnique doesn't really hurt by itself. It's the fact that
you're falling from a massive height afterward that does. So, since,
because of his dragon ancestry, Herb can fly....
