A padded thumping can be heard throughout the Tendo Household.
Kasumi ran through the house, at the crack of dawn, to the kitchen. She tried
to calm herself from what she had just seen in the washroom, sitting down with a
drink but not the alchoholic variety, though she wished it was. The scene she
witnessed brought a flush to her face everytime she remembered it. She sat there
for a time, trying to forget.
As breakfast rolled around, she tried to forget while making it. Failing
miserably, unable to control the almost permenent blush on her face while
serving breakfast and darting out of the room at breakneck speed.
Everyone, except Ranko and Hawk, looked worriedly to each other for Kasumi.
Akane, who caught a glance at both of them, wondered why they didnï¿½t look
worried but she knows that she canï¿½t confront them her usual way, remembering
the ritual they had performed just yesterday. She got up and walked to the
kitchen.
Akane saw Kasumi leaning against the sink, panting heavily and trying to cool
herself off by way of waving her hand in front of her face. She spotted Akane
coming in the room and quickly turned around.
ï¿½Kasumi?ï¿½ Akane asked as delicately as possible, ï¿½Whatï¿½s wrong?ï¿½ Kasumi looked
up from the sink, very flushed, ï¿½Ummmï¿½ï¿½ was all that she managed to get out at
the time, waving her arms franticly for a moment, ï¿½I just saw something I think
that wasnï¿½t ment to be seen.ï¿½ Kasumi stammered out, she waved Akane closer for
no-one to hear.
Akane cocked an eyebrow, mostly to see Kasumi, whoï¿½s the most unflappable
person she knows, so badly flustered by something, ï¿½Whatï¿½s goinï¿½ on?ï¿½
The wild eyed Kasumi looked like she was going to burst as she wispered into
Akaneï¿½s ear, whose own eyes started to widen as she heard what is going on with
her sister, also blushing just as furiously.
Akane came out of the kitchen with her own flabbergasted expression and sat
down at the table. Soun looked to her with one of his rare serious expressions,
ï¿½Akaneï¿½ï¿½ he called to her. She looked up, catching a quick glance to Ranko and
Hawk, then back to her father with a quite visible blush, ï¿½Hai?ï¿½ Soun cocked a
questioning eyebrow, ï¿½What did you find out about Kasumi?ï¿½ Akaneï¿½s face glowed
red, then put her head into her hand, ï¿½Believe me, Dadï¿½you donï¿½t want to
knowï¿½you REALLY donï¿½t want to knowï¿½ï¿½ she said, shaking her head. Soun and Genma
looked to each other, they both shrugged and went back to devoring Kasumi
usually delicious breakfasts.
Simutainiously, both Ranko and Hawk thanked Kasumi for breakfast and quickly
got up from the table. It was then Akane noticed Rankoï¿½s further changes, ï¿½I
thought she looked good at the storeï¿½ï¿½ she thought, wide eyed and looked to her
other sister, Nabiki.
Nabiki just shrugged nonchalantly, watched the two wander off and wondered how
much more yen she could squeeze out of Kuno with pictures of the ï¿½New
Pig-Tailed-Girl.ï¿½
She smiled. It was not a Nice smile.
Hawk and Ranko apeared in the backyard by the Koi pond.
ï¿½Yeeeesh! That was close!ï¿½ gasped Hawk, with his hands to his knees. Ranko
nodded, ï¿½Yeah...ï¿½ leaning closer to Hawkï¿½s ear, ï¿½but I think we should find a
moreï¿½private place, neh?ï¿½ she said cutely. Hawk nodded as well, ï¿½Yeahï¿½ï¿½ looking
skyward, then looking down to Ranko, ï¿½Wellï¿½ weather looks good for nowï¿½SO! You
up for some practice?ï¿½ he called to her with a smile and jumping back a few
yards, ï¿½I havenï¿½t had a good one in a couple of yearsï¿½ï¿½ She nodded and leapt at
him, splitting the air with a playful battle cry. A wide smile evident on her
face when she leapt at him with a flying punch.
Soun and Genma started when they heard Rankoï¿½s yell. They looked up from there
usual spot at the shogi table and gaped at what they saw: Ranko and Hawk duking
it out with each other, both with a furiousity and speed that they cannot even
hope to match and looking every bit of a dance in very high speed. Both seem to
be enjoying it, judging by the mile wide smiles they have on their faces.
Natsume and Karume came out of the side hall, looked to where the sounds of
battle are originating. Even stunned a bit, they watched the fevered dance
continue for many minutes. Ranko and Hawk, suddenly split from each other to the
walls on either side. They both wiped their brows of a small amount of sweat and
then lept high into the air.
Akane came out of the kitchen, wiping her hands dry of the morningï¿½s dishes,
curiousity pulled her out when she heard the battle cry. She caught sight of the
Ranko on the wall leap into the air to meet Hawk midway. She watched, wide-eyed
at the incredible amount of skill being put on display. She noted that Hawk didn
ï¿½t seem to be pulling his punches, going at it with everything heï¿½s got, ï¿½Of
courseï¿½sheï¿½d really get him if he did thatï¿½probably did a few times.ï¿½ she
thought with a smile. She was interupted from her thoughts when something
crashed to the ground.
Akane looked to Hawkï¿½s splayed form on the ground, face first into the dirt,
fingers and legs twitching. She stared agape at him, ï¿½Is heï¿½?ï¿½ then the crazy
position he is in finally got to her as she broke down into laughter. Hawk
suddenly snapped out of it and spun on his hands, legs outstretched. His legs
did catch the intended target, but was blocked and skidded across the dirt. He
sat there in the splits, facing Ranko with a wide grin plastered on his face,
ï¿½OK! I think that is enough for now!ï¿½ he called out to Ranko, ï¿½I think we have a
bit of an audience here!ï¿½ gesturing to the group, who are currently picking
their jaws up.
Genma shook his head side to side vigourously as he stood up. He practically
beamed of barely restrained pride, ï¿½Thatï¿½s my girl, Tendo!ï¿½ his face fell as he
slapped both of his hands to his big mouth. He looked to Soun, not believing
what he just said. Hawk came up to Genma and slapped him on the shoulder
lightly, ï¿½I see not why you are embarassed about being proud of your little
girlï¿½.even though she was literally part your son.ï¿½ He said as he gestured to
Ranko, whoï¿½s towling herself off.
Genma blinked at Hawkï¿½s words for a moment, then barelled over in laughter, ï¿½I
do believe that the boy has a point, Saotome!ï¿½ Soun said to him, also chuckling
a bit himself, he turned to Hawk, who bowed a little and walked off. Soun
furrowed his brow as he looked put to the pond, ï¿½But what are we going to do
about the Dojo then? Since Natsume and Karumi are the best in Womenï¿½s Anything
Goesï¿½ï¿½ he trailed off as Ranko walked up to him, she over heard what they have
said. She looked to Soun, straight in his eye, ï¿½I have not forgotten thatï¿½in
fact my pride is still wounded from the memory. ï¿½ she said tursely, sitting down
between the two men, ï¿½But I do not want to badly hurt them over that, alsoï¿½ï¿½
turning to Soun, ï¿½I believe that since they think of you as their fatherï¿½ï¿½ she
trailed off a little, thinking, ï¿½I think that you should adopt them into the
familyï¿½since they are good kids andï¿½good fighters.ï¿½ She finished off with a
grin.
Soun stared at her, his eyes deep within his own thoughts, ï¿½Do you know what
you just said?ï¿½ he said a little agrily, ï¿½I already have three unwed dauhgters
and no regular source of income to provide much for them!ï¿½ he was practically on
the verge of forming the Demon Head(tm). Ranko winced at the volume of his voice
and turned back to him, steel in her eyes, ï¿½But could you bear the thought of
sending those two back into the streets? They love you dearly and will do
positively anything for you!ï¿½ she yelled into his face, ï¿½And donï¿½t talk about
money, that is easily providedï¿½ï¿½ leaning back, regaining her composure, ï¿½IF the
both of you take on some students for the Dojo.ï¿½ She finished with a wink, got
up and walked off.
Both Genma and Soun watched her walk off. Soun sighed, relieved, ï¿½She does have
a point, Tendoï¿½We do need to take on some students now, since we cannot forcibly
marry Ranma and Akane nowï¿½ï¿½ Genma trailed off as he looked to the sky, looking
back, ï¿½She definitely right about one thing..ï¿½ he chuckled a little, ï¿½They are
good, grateful kidsï¿½could be more of an asset to the Dojo than as enemiesï¿½ï¿½ Soun
started, he babbled, ï¿½Butï¿½But..ï¿½ Genma slapped him on the back, ï¿½But Iï¿½m sure we
ï¿½ll all think of somethingï¿½ï¿½ He stopped, ï¿½I can make sure of thatï¿½ï¿½ Hawk said,
he came back after cleaning himself off, dressed in a loosed t-shirt and baggy
denim shorts. The two other men turned around ,ï¿½I too would not like to see them
thrown to the streetsï¿½ï¿½ he stopped as Soun jumped to him and clutched at his
shirt, ï¿½Tell me! How will you make sure of that?!?!ï¿½
Hawk reached up to Sounï¿½s arms and pried him off, ï¿½I have my waysï¿½ways that not
even Nabiki may not know aboutï¿½but youï¿½ï¿½ looking to Soun, ï¿½just have to make
sure that the adoption of those two are finalized, then, and ONLY then will I
step in to helpï¿½ï¿½ he said mysteriously as he walked off to find Ranko, leaving
the two men behind on the porch, thoroughly confused.
Nabiki chose this time to walk into the vicinity, ï¿½I do think that he is right,
Daddy.ï¿½ Holding up a sheaf of printouts, ï¿½I had to do some major digging on our
ï¿½friendï¿½ here to find anythingï¿½ï¿½ flipping through the sheets until she found
what she was looking for, ï¿½The only thing that I found is a bank accountï¿½ï¿½
raising an intrigued eyebrow, ï¿½and the amount that is in there is
ratherï¿½exquisite.ï¿½ Now looking back at them, ï¿½But for anything more about him is
sealed and no-one can get at them unless they have a Federal Search Warrant.ï¿½
She scanned the sheets again, ï¿½But I MUST have him if he is...ï¿½ She thought to
herself gleefully, almost hugging herself.
The two men looked at each other, slumped their shoulders as they gave her
everything they have in their pockets, which only amounted to about 10,000 yen.
Nabiki turned away for a moment to quickly count the money, she tuned back,
ï¿½Wellï¿½since you two have asked so gracefullyï¿½ï¿½ putting the money into her
pocket, ï¿½You do know that you have just talked to probably THE richest man in
the entire world?ï¿½ Laughing at their major face-faults, she walked away to plan
the conquest of the man of her dreams.

Hawk found Ranko in Kasumiï¿½s room, the both of them talking, which quickly
halted as he stepped into the room. He started as they stared silently to him,
ï¿½Uhhhï¿½Rankoï¿½here you are..ï¿½ he stammered under their gazes. They started
giggling a second after he finished speaking. ï¿½Hey! I was just trying to find
Ranko so that we can go to dinner tonight!!ï¿½ he exclaimed, but froze as someone
seductively wrapped their arms around him and pulled him out of the room.
He slowly turned his head to see that it is Nabiki that has her arms around
him, ï¿½Why wonï¿½t you take me out to dinner then?ï¿½ she said in her most sultry
voice. He gulped, ï¿½Wellï¿½I was thinking of talking toï¿½ï¿½ he couldnï¿½t finish as
Nabiki planted a kiss onto him. His mind core-dumped, shutdown and rebooted when
she did that, but when it booted back up, he was sweating heavily,
ï¿½Uhhï¿½Nabikiï¿½.why did youï¿½ummmï¿½just kiss me for?ï¿½ he choked. She simply smiled,
ï¿½That is for the man I plan on marryingï¿½ï¿½ she started as his confused gaze
turned very dark, very angry, ï¿½What did you find out, Nabiki?ï¿½ he grated out as
he pushed her into her room and closed the door.
She unwrapped her arms from him, put on a confident smile and sat down on her
bed, ï¿½I found out that YOUï¿½ï¿½ pointing her finger at his face, ï¿½are the richest
man in the world.ï¿½ Folding her arms, ï¿½I must have youï¿½ï¿½ she stopped as she
looked to Hawk, who is slightly shaking in anger, head down with his hand to his
forehead.
Hawk lifted his head slowly, ï¿½I gave you the benefit of the doubt that you
wouldnï¿½t look into my past or my accountsï¿½ï¿½ he snapped his head up with an
incredibly infuriated expression, ï¿½but apparently I was wrong to try and be nice
with the likes of a cold-hearted, money grubbing MERCENARY like you.ï¿½ he
growled, ï¿½I would prefer that kind of information will NOT leave this
roomï¿½especially to Ranko.ï¿½ he said, trying to get his temper under control.
She flinched to accusations, but smirked anyway, ï¿½This kind of information will
notï¿½for a price of...ï¿½ She started as a sizable wad of large bills loudly
smacked against the wall, partially imbedding itself in said wall, ï¿½Thereï¿½s your
fucking price!ï¿½ hand now on the doorknob, ï¿½Why donï¿½t you go and buy something
niceï¿½ï¿½ opening the door and looking back to her, ï¿½Like a heart!ï¿½ he exited the
room with a loud slamming of the door, almost taking off of it hindges. He
failed to hear the sniffles coming from the room.
[Iï¿½m not awfully proud of this scene previous, I would like to expand it, but I
donï¿½t know Nabiki too well. Any suggestions on what would happen to these two,
like the scene above, would be GREATLY appreciate it! ï¿½KnightHawk]
Ranko and Kasumi heard Hawk yelling and the incredibly loud doorslam afterwards
echo throughout the house. Ranko darted out of the room and into the hallway.
She saw Hawk, with a very visible, very angry aura about him stomp down the
stairs. She ran after him, trailing after her is Kasumi, who headed into Nabikiï¿½
s room. Ranko ran in front of him, his eyes not visible but she can see that he
is crying by the streams down his face, ï¿½Hawk-chan, whatï¿½s wrong?ï¿½ His head
slowly lifted, she can now see his angry face completely, ï¿½Wellï¿½For starters, I
placed an implied trust into Nabikiï¿½and she has completely betrayed that trustï¿½ï¿½
he sniffed as he wiped his eyes, ï¿½But Iï¿½ll be OK in a bitï¿½but weï¿½re still up for
that date tonight?ï¿½ he said, weakly smiling, deciding to change the subject.
Ranko reluctantly shrugged her shoulders, ï¿½Yeahï¿½weï¿½re still on for the date but
whereï¿½s it going to be at though?ï¿½ she asked him. He also shrugged his
shoulders, ï¿½Wellï¿½I was thinking of Kyotoï¿½s Sushi resturantï¿½ï¿½ he trailed off as
he noticed her startled expression, ï¿½But can you afford it? That place is very
expensiveï¿½ï¿½ she stopped when Hawk place a finger on her lips, ï¿½Need not worry
about it, I can handle it. Also, what about all of us going to the beach this
afternoon for some Sun and Fun?ï¿½ he asked cheerfully.
She was about to say something, ï¿½Yesï¿½that would be a good idea! Isnï¿½t it
Saotome?ï¿½ said Soun, rather cheerful himself, turning to Genma, ï¿½Thatï¿½s right
Tendo!ï¿½ Both Ranko and Hawk groaned, ï¿½Iï¿½ll see ya later! Gotta pick out what Iï¿½m
going to wear for tonight!ï¿½ she pecked him on the lips and shot up the stairs,
leaving him with the two fathers. He slumped his shoulders, ï¿½Yeahï¿½it is a good
ideaï¿½ï¿½ he looked up to see their starry eyes and balked at the sight.
Realisation hit him, hit him hard, ï¿½I take it that Nabiki told you already?ï¿½ he
asked them. At their rapid nods, he slapped his hand to his forehead,
ï¿½Greatï¿½just great.ï¿½ Looking back up to them, steel in his eyes. He crossed his
arms, ï¿½You two will NOT say anything until I tell everyone about itï¿½before then,
you donï¿½t want to knowï¿½ï¿½, he growled as he walked out the front door.
Hawk tromped through the streets with an almost visible storm-cloud over his
head. He eventually came to Uukyoï¿½s. Looking up to the sign, he shrugged and
walked into the shop. Uukyo, startled by his entrance, ï¿½Welcome toï¿½ï¿½ she trailed
off as she saw Hawkï¿½s expression. He looked up from the floor, ï¿½Hi, Uukyoï¿½whatï¿½s
up?ï¿½ he asked, looking around the shop, which is amazingly empty right now,
ï¿½Slow day?ï¿½ She nodded, ï¿½Yeahï¿½thanks to this heat, no-one wants to go into an
open air shop like mine.ï¿½ She shrugged her shoulders, ï¿½It happens, sugarï¿½.but
what about you? You look like someone hasï¿½ï¿½ she stopped when he slumped into one
the stools, laying his head onto the counter, banging his head onto it,
ï¿½Everything that I have carefully planned has gone out the window, Uukyoï¿½thatï¿½s
what is wrong,ï¿½ with on last bang on the counter, he lifted his head, his
expression now dark, ï¿½Thanks to the damn mercenaryï¿½ï¿½ He stopped when he heard a
gasp, ï¿½Nabiki?? She did this to you??ï¿½ she exclaimed. He nodded slowly, ï¿½Yeahï¿½ï¿½
he gulped, ï¿½Wellï¿½since she found out about it I might as well tell yaï¿½ï¿½ he
flashed a grin at her confused look, ï¿½Didnï¿½tcha know?ï¿½ she shook her head,
ï¿½What?ï¿½
He took in a deep breath, ï¿½Hehï¿½Iï¿½m the richest man in the world and Nabiki also
tried to seduce meï¿½ï¿½ he chuckled as he shook his head. At her angry expression
he continued, ï¿½But failedï¿½miserably and got a reckoning from me.ï¿½ They both
laughed when he explained the look on Nabikiï¿½s face.
When they calmed themselves down, ï¿½Anyway, Uukyoï¿½hows about one of those famous
super-deluxe okinomiyakiï¿½s I keep hearing about?ï¿½ She giggled when his stomach
decided to make itself known, ï¿½Coming right up, sugar!ï¿½ she said as she whipped
up his order.
Taking her time in making this order, since there is no rush this time, Uukyo
paid special attention to this order until the time she put onto Hawkï¿½s plate,
ï¿½Here ya go sugar!ï¿½ she said as she served him his order, ï¿½One Super-Deluxe
Okinomiyaki!ï¿½ Hawk quickly dug in and ate it with extra gusto.
He finished the stack of okinomiyaki fairly quickly, ï¿½Thanks, Uukyo.ï¿½ He looked
around to the shop again, ï¿½Hey! Since you arenï¿½t at all busy todayï¿½ï¿½ she turned
with a raised eyebrow, ï¿½How about you join me, Ranko and the others to the beach
this afternoon?ï¿½ Her eyes lit up, ï¿½Sure! Where do you want me to meet you guys?ï¿½
He shrugged his shoulders, ï¿½Where else?ï¿½ now she is looking confused, ï¿½The Tendo
Dojo, where Iï¿½m currently staying, waiting until my new house is built.ï¿½
She gasped, hands to her face and eyes very wide, ï¿½Youï¿½re building a house
here?!?! In Nerima???ï¿½ He nodded, ï¿½Thatï¿½s great!ï¿½ she beamed. In his best
gameshow announcer voice, ï¿½And thatï¿½s not all!ï¿½ Now she is confused, continuing,
but in his normal voice, ï¿½I plan on taking Ranko onto a date later tonight toï¿½ï¿½
he trailed off for effect but working too well, ï¿½WELL! Tell me, ya jackass!ï¿½ she
yelled as she playfully bapped him on the shoulder. He quickly coughed, ï¿½Toï¿½Ask
her to Marry me.ï¿½ He said softly and fast.
Uukyo started, ï¿½To what?ï¿½ she asked him, since she didnï¿½t hear. ï¿½I saidï¿½To
Propose to her! To ask her to marry me!!ï¿½ he exclaimed loudly. A little ruffled,
ï¿½No need to yell, Honï¿½ï¿½ she trailed off as realisation hit. To say that she
squealed is putting it mildly, she practically raised the roof when she
screamed.
Unplugging his fingers from his ears, ï¿½I take it that you are happy for me?ï¿½ he
asked sacasticly. She again playfully bapped him, upside the head, ï¿½Of course
you jackass! Why shouldnï¿½t I be??ï¿½ she said, crossing her arms. He started,
ï¿½Then hows about a hugï¿½ï¿½ she started this time, ï¿½Donï¿½t worry, just a friendly
hug between friends. Thereï¿½s nothing wrong with that is there?ï¿½ he finished,
opening his arms wide.
As she moved to give Hawk a hug, ï¿½Donï¿½t touch my Uukyo-sama!!!ï¿½ a cute girl
voice dried out. Startled, Hawk looked around and saw a cute girlï¿½s head poking
out of a common house plant, a tall fern to be exact, ï¿½TSUBASA!!!ï¿½ Uukyo
screamed as she hefted her ï¿½Mega-Spatï¿½, but stopped at Hawkï¿½s raised hand, ï¿½Let
meï¿½ï¿½ turning to Tsubasa, ï¿½Why wonï¿½t you let me have a friendly hug with Uukyo
here?ï¿½ he said to the girl, gesturing to Uukyo. Tsubasa flared a cute red,
ï¿½Because she is mine and I wonï¿½t let anyone touch herï¿½ï¿½ Tsusbasa charged, but
stopped at the gaze that Hawk gave him, ï¿½Hehï¿½she is no-oneï¿½s but her ownï¿½she is
free to make her own choicesï¿½.ï¿½ Taking a deep breath, ï¿½ï¿½and you have NO right
whatsoever to say anything about it now, do you?ï¿½ he finished, leaning back into
the counter, taking a drink of his soda from his order.
Tsubasa glowed a bright red and charged at the interloperï¿½.
Only to get flattened by Uukyoï¿½s ï¿½Mega-Spatï¿½ and sent him flying out the door,
ï¿½That was a nice speech, suger. In fact Iï¿½m rather flattered by it, but I donï¿½t
think youï¿½ll be able to talk down the likes of him.ï¿½ She said, jutting her thumb
out the door. He just shrugged, ï¿½I tryï¿½since I have been taught be another
friend of mine that fighting isnï¿½t the only answer to everything.ï¿½ Stating
matter-of-factly as he leaned forward again from the counter, ï¿½Now that noise is
overï¿½What about my ï¿½Congratulatory Hugï¿½, neh?ï¿½ She giggled and hugged him
lightly, he did the same. As he hugged her, that stange feeling came back to
him. ï¿½It felt familiarï¿½almost likeï¿½RANKO-CHAN!!ï¿½ He thought as made connected
the two, but shoved it aside for right now, ï¿½Iï¿½ll tell Ranko when I get
homeï¿½.and Ranma tooï¿½ï¿½
When they completed the hug a moment later, they seperated and Hawk got up out
of the stool, ï¿½Welpï¿½I gotta get back to the Dojoï¿½.so Iï¿½ll meet ya there at about
1 oï¿½clock then?ï¿½ he asked from the doorway, after leaving cash at the counter.
She nodded as she picked up the money, ï¿½Yepï¿½Ma-ta-ne!ï¿½ she called out to him.
ï¿½Ma-ta-ne!!ï¿½ he called back as he ran out the door to the Dojo.
He took off in the wrong direction, but for good reason. He need to get
something from the his ship. Namely, the troopsï¿½ trademark Dragon-Swords. ï¿½Maybe
we could get some practice in sometimeï¿½ï¿½ he thought as he ran off and leapt onto
the rooftops.
Hawk got to the Tendo Dojo in near record time, to meet face to face with a
Firery faced Ranko. Skidding to a halt, Hawk looked up to Rankoï¿½s face, ï¿½Hell
Hath no Furyï¿½ï¿½ he thought absently, ï¿½What the hell did you say to Nabiki?!?!?ï¿½
she screamed, almost landing him onto his rear, ï¿½Kasumi found her in TEARS when
you left!!ï¿½ she is positively fuming now, with her arms crossed in front of her
chest. Hawk gulped, ï¿½Wellï¿½for startersï¿½remember when I told you that she
betrayed an implied trust that I put into her?ï¿½ She nodded, ï¿½She tried toï¿½seduce
me and most-likely blackmail me because of what she found outï¿½ï¿½ he trailed off
as she flared again, ï¿½WHAT?!?! What was it that she found out???ï¿½ she asked, a
little more calmly this time since she saw his guilty face.
Hawk moved over to her, placing his hands on her shoulders, ï¿½Iï¿½ll tell you
tonight at dinner, ok? Thatï¿½s when Iï¿½ll start telling a lot of myï¿½secrets to
youï¿½I just canï¿½t tell ANYBODY about some of the things I know for a VERY GOOD

Ranko slumped her shoulders, ï¿½Okï¿½you will tell me, tonight?ï¿½ He started, ï¿½Of
course! Then youï¿½ll have a PERFECT reason why I am talking then!!ï¿½ he smiled and
ran off. Watching his fleeing form, ï¿½I wonder whatï¿½s that ï¿½perfectï¿½ reason he is
talking about?ï¿½ she thought to herself, she then walked back into the house.
Ranko saw Hawk walk up the stairs, deciding to stealthily following him. He
stopped in front of Nabikiï¿½s door pausing for a moment, talking in a deep breath
and then knocked on it. Another moment later, she saw the door open, heard Hawk
say something, then Kasumi walked past him.
Hawked knocked on her door, waiting impatiently, he heard some rustling behind
it as Kasumi opened the door. He could have sworn he saw a scornful look on her
face, feeling like a heel to that look from her, he had grace to look sheepish,
ï¿½Uhhhï¿½Hi Kasumiï¿½may I talk to Nabikiï¿½alone?ï¿½ she nodded and shuffled past him.
He leaned his head into the door and saw Nabiki furiously wiping her eyes dry.
He gulped, ï¿½Uhhï¿½Helloï¿½ï¿½ he choked as he closed the door, then ducked as
something was thrown at him, ï¿½GET OUT!!!ï¿½ ducking another item, ï¿½Whyï¿½s that?ï¿½ he
asked, his temper starting to make itself known. Fuming, ï¿½I have NOTHING to say
to you!ï¿½ Nabiki grated out between her teeth. Hawk narrowed his eyes, ï¿½Wellï¿½I
was planning on explaining a few things to you and apologisingï¿½BUT if you going
to be that wayï¿½then Iï¿½ll leave you to pout and cry like a little girlï¿½ï¿½ he
motioned over to the doorknob, but he was stopped by a firm hand on his own.
Turning back a bit, ï¿½Noï¿½itï¿½s okï¿½Iï¿½ll listen,ï¿½ turning on a pained smirk,
ï¿½ï¿½without any priceï¿½ï¿½ she trailed off as his angry expression turned almost
neutral.
Hawk sat down in a chair he spun around, leaning on the back with his elbows,
ï¿½OK! Wellï¿½I think you already know I donï¿½t take to blackmail all that well, ï¿½he
half-heartedly chuckled and she nodded, ï¿½but the thing that did get me mad was
that you tried to seduce me when I love anotherï¿½ï¿½ he stopped as he saw her slump
completely, ï¿½ï¿½and that you betrayed a trust that I did put onto youï¿½mostly just
hoping that you donï¿½t expose me for what I amï¿½ï¿½ throwing his hands into the air,
ï¿½but it I turned out to be the fool in trusting someone blindlyï¿½.I guess I am
just that sort of person.ï¿½ He looked to her, concerned eched all over his face,
ï¿½but I donï¿½t think that is the reason that you criedï¿½ï¿½
Nabiki looked up, ï¿½Yeahï¿½I never really thought it would hurt anyone by my own
dealingsï¿½it has been working for me for a long timeï¿½this is the first time it
has ever backfired in my faceï¿½ï¿½ she also gave a half-hearted laugh, ï¿½I donï¿½t
think we are cut out for this kind of talk, thoughï¿½ï¿½ she held out the wad of
bills to him, ï¿½I donï¿½t deserve it forï¿½ï¿½ He held up his hand, ï¿½Keep itï¿½just donï¿½t
try to cross me ok? Donï¿½t make me angryï¿½you wonï¿½t like me when Iï¿½m angryï¿½ï¿½ he
said as small as possible, she then burst into a gale of laughter, ï¿½I remember
that show! Hehï¿½okï¿½ï¿½ looking at the wad, ï¿½This would come in handy for when some
of Ranmaï¿½s suitors or enemies show upï¿½ï¿½ they both laughed at that, then Hawk got
serious, ï¿½I will say thisï¿½That I am sorry for what I have said earlier and that
you are invited to come with us to the beach later this afternoon,ï¿½ looking over
to the clock, ï¿½GAH! 11:30ï¿½joyï¿½ï¿½ rubbing his face, ï¿½This has been one thing after
another,ï¿½ looking back up to Nabiki, ï¿½Think you can get us a suitable spot
there?ï¿½ Her brow shot up and put one hand over her heart, ï¿½Moi? Sureï¿½go onï¿½get
out of here, I got to get changed.ï¿½ He bowed gracefully, ï¿½Thank you, Mï¿½Ladyï¿½ï¿½
snapping his fingers, ï¿½OH YEAH! I almost forgotï¿½since that we are on realatively
good terms againï¿½ï¿½ trailing off as he dug into his pocket and brought out a ring
case, looking back to her, her face lighting up, ï¿½No, Nabikiï¿½this is not for
you, ï¿½ He said, chuckling to her faked pout, ï¿½This is for later tonight, when me
and Ranko go out to dinner. ï¿½ Opening the black velvet case and handing it to
her.
Her eyes widened very much, and a miracle happenedï¿½.Nabiki was left speechless.
She sat there for a moment, just staring at the ring contained therein. Hawk
walked up and gingerly waved his right hand in front of here eyes. They blinked.
And Blinked again, her jaw and lips worked wordlessly. Then she snapped out of
it, ï¿½I need you to hide it here for awhileï¿½at least until tonight, since we ARE
going to the beachï¿½ï¿½ shrugging his shoulders. Nabiki closed the case, then
regaining control over her voice again, ï¿½Of course Iï¿½ll hide it for youï¿½ï¿½ Hawk
bowed again, ï¿½Good! Now I have my own business to take care of, like finding a
spot at the beachï¿½ï¿½ he stopped at her raised hand, ï¿½No need for you to do that,
I told you that I can easily take care of that.ï¿½ He laughed a bit, ï¿½So that is
how you are under that shell called a business woman!ï¿½ he exclaimed, bowing
again, ï¿½But Iï¿½m afraid that I cannot stay any longer hereï¿½I have to face my girl
after thisï¿½ï¿½ shuddering a bit and darting out the door.
Hawk waved to Nabiki as he closed the door and turned. To meet nose to nose
with Ranko. ï¿½BWAH!ï¿½ He shouted as he held his heart, ï¿½Donï¿½t do dat!!ï¿½ He looked
back up from the floor to Ranko, she does NOT look amused, ï¿½Ummmï¿½what?ï¿½ Her eyes
flashed, ï¿½WHAT? Is that all you are going to say?!? Did you apologize to
Nabiki??ï¿½ Hawk, looking a bit like a heel, ï¿½Yes I didï¿½in fact I think I just
made another friend here.ï¿½ Cracking a smile, ï¿½I think I have got to see what not
many people do seeï¿½ï¿½ wrong words to say, mebucko. Her aura flared a bright red,
ï¿½WHAT?!?!ï¿½ï¿½ she reared her arm back with her fist clentched tight, ï¿½HOLD IT!!ï¿½
Hawk yelled into her face, startling her, ï¿½I didnï¿½t mean THAT?!?! What kinda guy
do you think I am, huh??ï¿½ lowering his voice, ï¿½I ment the person that is behind
that cold, business-like shell she always has up! Sheeshï¿½ rubbing his face with
his hand, looking back up, ï¿½Forgive me?ï¿½ he asked her in his patent ï¿½cuteï¿½
voice, arms out in front of him, head tilted down and off to the side.
She let out a deep breath, ï¿½OK!ï¿½ she drawled out as she hugged him. When she
let go of him, she asked, ï¿½So where did you go in such a huff anyway?ï¿½ He rubbed
the back of his head, ï¿½I walked around a bit, trying to cool off and I
eventually ran into Uuchanï¿½s Okinomiyaki, had a bit of a talk with her of the
goings on and I talked her into going to the beach with usï¿½ï¿½ crossing his arms,
ï¿½Yaï¿½know what?ï¿½ he asked her, ï¿½What?ï¿½ He smirked, ï¿½DONï¿½T even say ï¿½Exactlyï¿½ or I
ï¿½ll hurt you!ï¿½ Shaking her fist in front of his face for emphisis. He chuckled a
bit and instantly turned serious, ï¿½I believe Uukyo is the last Dragon weï¿½re
looking for..ï¿½ he stopped when he heard Ranko take in a sharp gasp, ï¿½Yeah, my
thoughts exactlyï¿½but it is only a theory right nowï¿½ï¿½ flopping his arms to the
side and hanging his head, ï¿½Since I did get the same feeling with her that I got
with youï¿½ï¿½ bringing his head back up and brush a bit back with his hand, ï¿½I hope
that we can prove it or disprove it somehowï¿½OH WELLï¿½I donï¿½t wanna think about it
right now, I have a headacheï¿½ï¿½ he started when she kissed him, ï¿½Howï¿½s your head
now?ï¿½ He laughed, ï¿½A bit better nowï¿½ï¿½ curling her arm around him, ï¿½Letï¿½s go
downstairs and get some lunch before we head to the beach.ï¿½ She said to him,
leading him back in. ï¿½How could I say no to that?ï¿½ he laughed as he put his own
arm around her.
They came to an already full table, ï¿½Geeï¿½no-oneï¿½s hungry? Is there?ï¿½ Hawk
deadpanned as he and Ranko squeezed in the tight confines. While they ate, Hawk
noticed that Natsume and Karumi looked a bit nervous for some reason, but he
only need to look next to him, to Ranko, to find the reason why, ï¿½Hey you two!ï¿½
That startled them almost a little too much, since the nearly droped their
lunch, ï¿½Whoaï¿½calm down! Sheesh! Anywaysï¿½ï¿½ the rest of the talking arounf them
instantly silenced, ï¿½You two up to going to the beach later? The more the
merrier!ï¿½ he ask them cheerfully. They blinked, ï¿½But we donï¿½t have any
swimsuits.ï¿½ Natsume said before Karumi can jump to anything, who is pouting
cutely. Hawk opened his mouth, but Akane talked before he did, ï¿½I sure we can
loan you something! Right, Kasumi, Nabiki?ï¿½ they nodded. ï¿½Iï¿½m sure that I have
something in my closet that theyï¿½ll like.ï¿½ Nabiki chimed in.
Hawk looked about the table, ï¿½Wellï¿½I guess that it is decided then! You too,
Kasumi! Even you need some time off every once in a while!ï¿½ The tone in his
voice didnï¿½t leave any room for argument. Kasumi nodded and went back into the
kitchen.
ï¿½Hurray!!!ï¿½ Karumi exclaimed with her usual starry eyes.
Soon, everyone finished up and move on to gather their things to go to the
beach. Hawk went up the stairs to Ranma and Genmaï¿½s room. Natume and Karumi
watched Hawk go up the stairs with an unlying curiousity, but it soon got the
better of them as they got up to talk to him. They followed him to his room. He
slowly turned to see them following, ï¿½Yeeeeeessssssï¿½ he said in his deepest,
most ominous voice possible.
They started a bit, but Natsume spoke up, ï¿½You are being so nice to usï¿½Why?ï¿½
she asked, matter of factly. He just sat at the top of the stairs, ï¿½Wellï¿½I see
that you two are good kidsï¿½and since you two are living here, I just donï¿½t want
you two to miss out on the fun!ï¿½ he beamed. Natsume just stared at him, ï¿½But we
have a challendge with Rankoï¿½ï¿½ she stopped at his raised hand, ï¿½I know all
thatï¿½until then, we are all friends hereï¿½ï¿½ he also stopped when Ranko wrapped
her arms around his neck, ï¿½My sediments exactly!ï¿½ she pecked him on the cheek,
ï¿½Now you see why I love him so much??ï¿½ she ask the pair. They stared at him as
he glowed red. Both Natsume and Karumi burst into giggles and walked past Hawk
and Ranko to get their suits.
Hawk leaned a little to the side and turned his head to meet with Rankoï¿½s, ï¿½You
live to embarrass me, donï¿½t you?ï¿½ he deadpanned, she giggled a bit, ï¿½Yeahï¿½ï¿½ she
didnï¿½t have a chance to finish as he kissed her full on the lips, ï¿½Shush you!ï¿½
he said when he finished the kiss, ï¿½Did you get your stuff ready?ï¿½ When she
shook her head, ï¿½Well? Go on and get it done then!ï¿½ She got up and turned back
into the hallway, Hawk quickly moved and tweaked one of her butt-cheeks through
her jean shorts, making her squeal, loudly. She was about to retort, ï¿½I owed you
that one for embarassing me!ï¿½ She then just glowered at him and walked off,
rubbing her hiney. He lightly chuckled and went to do what he came up here to
do.
