Okay,

I remember when I first read this story, I got reeeeealy PO and wrote
a rather nasty letter to the author, rebuking everone of Green Eyes
"lies" with what I thought was "The Truth" and thus, in a way, proved
the authors point.

You couldn't have made me happier. It's great if you like him OR if you hate
him in my books, he was designed in the hopes that he'd evoke both extremes.

Now however, after calming down and reading the story more, I have
come to two, more thought out, conclusion.

1) I STILL don't like him.

You're certainly not alone. But then, a lot of people like him too.

2) He's not "evil" per say. However, he IS a twisted version of Ryu
or Terry Boguard. Why? Because he seems to go after only the most
powerful thing around at the time. (He fought the monster which
brought the ice and yet, the second it's defeated by Serenity, he
turns and decides to fight her.)

I can't say that particular interpretation ever occured to me. That's ok,
people are free to make their own decisions about his motivations.

The difference is, while Ryu and Terry respect their opponents for
what they really are and don't cross certain lines, he seems to find
the need to demonize whatever he is fighting against and crosses "the
lines" so frequently, I'm surprised he hasn't left skid marks.

It's human nature to demonise those who they stand against. There is a bit
more respect shown for his opponents in the next couple of chapters, but
I honestly can see no reason why he would treat century-long enemies with
anything besides the respect he has shown for their potential martial prowess.
Expecting him to say "Ah, Sailor Mars. A fine girl, with a sense of humour that
makes her the life of parties." (or whatever) seems a bit unreasonable.

Hypotheticaly, lets say he was against Kasumi Tendo. What he would
do is, make it sound like her kind and innocent demener was going to
be the ruination of the world.

You mean it isn't? You know, there is something deeply disturbing about
Kasumi... ^_^
