As per order of the original author, Harper, and the fact that I'm

A Phillip Masters Fanfic
All Mixed Up: Another Sequel
Concept By: Harper
Makoto raised the Key Staff into the air with one hand toward the
ominous Eye of God. The enormous sphere hovered quietly as he
concentrated his thoughts on one particular goal, to open a hole in the
dimensional barrier. The Staff began to glow, and electrical energies
crackled inside the two transparent bubbles along it's shaft. He then
flipped his wrist, bringing the business end of the Staff to bear on
the
ancient weapon. The wind kicked up around him, making a small swirl of
dust surround his body. The small prongs at the end of the Staff
extended to their full length, and the energy of the advanced machine
was thrust outward in a beam of light.
Makoto grimaced in concentration, yet inside he was elated.
Perhaps this would actually work. He wanted to see his Ifurita again
so
bad his knees were shaking. He could still feel her soft hair against
his face from the countless times she had placed her head on his chest.
He yearned for that feeling again, and would stop at nothing to receive
it.
The stream of white illumination reached the Eye of God, and a
powerfull wave was cast from it. It seemed no more than a slight heat
distortion in the air, but it caused the ground to shake, and nearly
blew Makoto over. He strained against the force, but heard a light cry
from his rear. He glanced back to see the three Priestesses, Fujisawa,
and Nanami all scattered about the ground behind him. It seemed that
the Staff afforded him more protection than he originally thought.
They all seemed alright though, so he turned his attention back to
the task at hand. The Eye was shuddering slightly as the beam from the
Staff continued to pour into it. Makoto hoped it would be able to keep
up its current power usage until the job was done.
The Eye tilted slightly toward Makoto, beginning to gather a
dimensional vortex at the apperature in its base. The hopefull young
man opened his eyes wider in awe as the chaotic and unknown energies
began to extend the dark mass outward. A great hole was being torn in
reality, allowing universes to merge.
Then, the Staff gave out. The carrier beam shut down as the
device
deactivated completely, worn from over use. The Eye of God quickly
followed suit, groaning to a halt as the dimensional gateway collapsed.
In another few seconds the great orb was as it always was, serene and
calm above the Stairway to the Sky.
Makoto stared blankly, his breathing coming in labored gasps. He
had failed, again. It was his tenth attempt in so many days. However,
he had gotten farther than any other try, so maybe tomorrow. He lifted
his chin with his spirits and turned toward his friends.
A moment later, as everyone was picking themselves off the ground,
a deluge of purple liquid showered the area. Makoto blinked in shock
and looked upward. The sky was perfectly clear, everything seemed
normal. Then, he felt something... something inside... change.
Fujisawa lifted himself and tried to shake off the strange purple
substance. He looked over at Nanami, then to Miz. Everyone seemed
fine, including himself. However, there was something very different
about him. Something that would change the way he saw the world... his
eyes were completely open. And he found that the sun was bright, and
it
hurt.
Nanami brushed herself off and looked around for the love of her
young life. Everyone around her seemed okay, so she could devote all
her time to that special person. She just hoped Fatora was ready for
some action.
Afura was rather distraught about having her threads soaked. She
shrugged and ripped off any stained parts. She studied the rather hip
outfit she'd created and looked around at all the people who obviously
had no fasion sense what so ever. She decided to give up her position
as Head Priestess and take up decorating. She could jazz this place up
in no time.
Miz found she adored Fujisawa's eyes, so his change was rather
fortunate. Of course, that's all according to who you were rooting
for,
as she chased the light-blinded Sensei into the Palace.
Shayla shook her head, trying to remove all the cobwebs. A glance
around showed everyone but Makoto had left the area. She found herself
really pissed off at him for some reason she couldn't fathom. "Hey,
you
bastard! What the hell did you do to me?" She cried at him, venting
her aggression at its newly found target.
Makoto looked up at the yell. Oh, it was only Shayla, he thought.
He needed to find someone else. "Where is that hunk of a man, Londs?"
He asked of no one in particular.
El Hazard was no longer such a magnificent world, though the Rasta
look did compliment the Palace nicely.
END
Well, there's my contribution... take it as you will. Time kept me
from
going further, or involving more people, sorry. C&C wecomed and
appreciated...
