It was recently postulated by the Eternal Lost Lurker (aka "Robert
Morrison", "Kouma Ryodachi", and "mine hated nemesis") that the principle
attack modes of the Sailor Senshi are dramatically less powerful than those
employed by the Magical Knights.  After consideration of the evidence, I am
compelled to accept the Lurker's statement as true, *with a caveat*.

	In neither the manga version nor the original anime incarnation of
the adventures of the Magical Knights do the aforementioned Knights utilize
their powers in the world of Earth.  (The recent OAV interpretation of the
storyline is another matter altogether.)  Their adventures take place in the
otherdimensional world of Cefiro.  We are repeatedly told in the storyline
that in Cefiro, belief is power.  In fact, the original reason that the
Magical Knights are drawn into the world is due to a fundamental
destabilization in the beliefs of the ruling power of Cefiro, also called
the Pillar, which has resulted in the forces of evil gaining the upper hand.
Cefiro is a world, it seems, that responds strongly to belief, or to
willpower.

	It follows, then, that the reason for the high degree of power
behind the Magical Knights' abilities in Cefiro is that the world is
responding to their formidable -- if naive -- wills.  There is thus no
reason to believe that the magical abilities that they gain thereby would
remain effacious in a world in which reality is less malleable to belief --
such as Earth.

	In contrast, the Sailor Senshi's abilities are almost entirely
internal in nature, drawing from their innately magical heritage as the
reincarnated souls of beings from the Moon Kingdom.  However, as was
demonstrated on at least one occasion, a Senshi's ability to utilize her
powers *can* be affected by the state of her will.  Because of her desire to
lead a normal life, Sailor Moon found herself gradually losing her
abilities, until she finally realized what was happening, and chose to
continue.

	Thus, the Senshi's abilities are similar to those of the Knights --
in that they are dependant on their willpower -- but the fact remains that
the Sailor Senshi are able to continue to use their powers in a world in
which it seems that the Magical Knights cannot.  In fact, if the Senshi were
ever transported to Cefiro, it could be postulated that their abilities
might increase to a level *greatly* exceeding the Knights.  (Q.V. Robert
Asprin's "Myth-Ing Persons", for a discussion on a similar topic.)

	In any events, discussions about conflicts between the Magical
Knights and the Sailor Senshi are ultimately pointless.  To quote Udaigaku
Noriko, "only the forces of evil would win that fight."[1]

	Besides, Hikaru is Rei and Usagi's lovechild.
