*All Mixed Up: the Sequel*

Urusei Yatsura and it's characters are not mine in anyway at all and belong
to the delightful Rumiko Takahashi (girl power!), Viz Communications and
other companies I've forgotten to mention, stupid ol', cash-strapped me!
This widdle fic is a spin-off of a fic I finished recently called All Mixed
Up, it was a lot longer and was set around the Ranma 1/2 cast and the
comments I got were both constructive and positive. ^_^ If you want that fic,
try me at eve147@hotmail.com , OK? I'm also gonna try other fics set around
this premise of a mind-altering purple rain, including OMG! and Tenchi and
then in the final part of this sequel, I'm going to combine them all into one
big anime mess!! I would _love_ to do a Sailor Moon fic on this but alas (?),
I've never seen a single episode so I can't! Go ahead and write it if you
want ta! ^_^ Go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on... GO ON! Or write an
NGE one, or Maison Ikkoku, or any one I haven't mentioned. They would be
great to see!!

Chapter 1a:
Urusei Yatsura: The Return of Purple Rain.
(Purple rain clouds are slowly drifting away from Tokyo, back towards China,
where they will dissipate harmlessly near the magically-protected vilage of
the Chinese Amazons from whence they came. They would have... except a sudden
burst of strong wind from nowhere shoves them back to Nerima and above a
building called Tomobiki High. School has just finished and the normal,
ordinary school kids leave skipping happily -- ahem, no that's not right
(rewrites it) -- School kids make a mad dash from the harrased building,
escaping the highly "electrically-charged" fight between Mendo, Ataru, Lum
and Shinobu, in which Ataru is currently being roasted by Lum for daring to
ask out Shinobu on a date, who's at the moment completely ignoring him and
gazing at Mendo, who's wishing his lift home would hurry up and arrive.)
Mendo: I wish my lift home would hurry up and arrive.
(See?)
Mendo: I don't think I could bear to be near such filth as you, Ataru, for
much longer.
Ataru: As if I'd want to hang around you! Now, Shinobu, how 'bout that da --?
~Zzzzaaaap!~
Ataru: Yoooowwwww!
Lum: Darrrliiinnng!! Why don't you ask me out? I am your wife!!
Mendo: (to Lum) (smoother than a Milk Chocolate... mmm.... chocolate...) But,
why would such a beauty as you want to be with this idiot? You deserve so
much better...
Ataru: Yeah, that's righ -- hey!
Shinobu: (angry) (to Ataru) And, to think, you asked that bimbo to marry you
after asking me!
Ataru: But I --
Mendo: (looking skywards) What odd clouds in the sky.
Everyone: Huh? (gaze upwards)
Lum: I don't recognize them.
Cherry: (pops out of nowhere) (to Ataru) I see an onimous shadow on your
face...
Ataru: Aaaargh! (to Cherry) This is probably your fault!
Cherry: I'm just here to protect you.
Ataru: Yeah, right!
(Droplets of the purple rain start to fall towards the ground. The crowd
watches it in bemusement and with the usual rationality that Nerima has.)
Schoolguy: I bet this is Morobishi's fault!
Schoolgirl: uh-huh... Everything usually is!
(Suddenly, a whole shower of purple rain erupts from above, soaking everyone
in the school grounds. As before, the drugged rain wreaks havoc on everyone's
personality... Who knows what effect it'll have on the electrifying alien
Lum? Utter silence ensues as the clouds dry up and drift away, leaving who
knows what behind.)
Ataru: (contorted face) Urgh.... W-what? (looks around) Aaaah! Girls! In
luh-less than appropriate b-bikini's and t-tight school dresses... (grips
head as if in pain) Nuuhhh-nooooooooooo!!!! (runs away screaming)
Shinobu: Hmph! Men! Who needs 'em? I'm going to join a radical feminist
group! (stomps away) (is joined by other girls from her class) GIRL POWER!
(Sorry, couldn't resist sayin' it...)
Mendo: Hey! Cool! Chicks! Babes! (starts slavering) Mmm.... giirrrrllllls...
Wait up, Shinobu baby! (runs super speed in direction of anti-men protest
where he promptly gets clobbered)
(And in a cheap plot device, Rei, Lum's gluttonous ex-fiancee, pops out of
nowhere and has also been affected by the purple rain...)
Rei: (looks at his reflection in a puddle) Hmmm... I think I need to lose
some weight. I'd better go on a strict diet for a few weeks. First, I shall
have a quiet afternoon jog around town. (jogs off)
(Meanwhile... how is Lum doing?...)
Lum: Oh, my! Look at these clothes, they're so revealing! I'd better go home
and change before I go to the library to study. (demurely giggles) Oh, I am
so excited about this!! Tee-heee-hee! (skips daintly away)
End of Chapter 1a...
I haven't read as much Urusei Yatsura as I should, so comments on the
characters are welcome, as is any other kind of C&C!!! I really don't mind!
