I need help with the characterisation of the scouts in dealing with the new
Serena.  Does anyone have any ideas?

Sailor Moon: Crystal Dreams.  By Christopher Gilbert

A thousand years ago, one day after the fall of the Moon Kingdom.

In the center of the crater, dust stirred. A large crystal emerged from the
rubble of the summer palace.  Six spikes emerged from the crystal body.
Each came to a monomolecular point, sharp enough to cut through any thing
but the Silver Crystal.  Light appeared in the six metre sphere that formed
the body. It traveled along each of the spikes, leaving them glowing softly
with different colours.  The top spike, which was also the largest, emitted
a pink beam of power which headed straight towards the earth.

The eastern spike was next, emitting a harsh blue beam which circled the moon
before it hit the western spike as a dark green beam.  A minute later the
south spike pulsed a bright orange,  this beam also circled the moon before
returning a crimson red.

>From the earth a black beam sped towards the moon.  Curving to hit the bottom
spike, which floated milimetres above the dust.  With this last beam, the
entire crystal flashed a pure white before fading to a soft glow.  The
crystal then lept up away from the moon and faded into the darkness of space.

Serena floated through space, drifting on the currents of the solar wind,
her mind at peace.  Beryl was dead, the Negaforce banished to the Abyss.
Wait a sec, how in Selene's name do I know that and who the heck is Selene.

"Hello Serena, are you enjoying yourself?" A voice asked from the darkness.
Serena opened her eyes to see... Herself looking back at her, no wait it
wasn't quite herself it was her older self.  Princess Serenity gazed back at
her,  disapproval evident in her eyes.

"Well, yes I was, but how did I get here.  This feels to real to be a dream
and anyway I usually dream of Darien or snacks.  What is going on?" The whine
in Serena's voice was just noticable. After all what good does it do to whine
at yourself.

"To begin with, We are here to be intergrated and then I imagine that the
crystal will educate you on todays society."

"What do you mean 'Intergrated' We're the same person, just in two different
time zones... Huh? What I am I talking about?"

"We will be merged, our personalities will become one as will our knowlege.
Which means you will know all that I can rember about the sciences of the
Silver Millennium, well those that are compatable with your current
knowlege of the sciences.  Of course that means you will be six hundred
years ahead of current science and seven thousand years ahead in the use of
magic."

"Hey, wait a minute. I do not want that!  I want to be a normal girl NOT A
SUPER GENIUS LIKE AMY!"

"Too late, the process is underway. Soon I will fade away into your
unconscious mind and We will be one....."

With that Princess Serenity fade out, her skin became translucent and assumed
a misty appearence, which then spread out and covered Serena before sinking
it to her skin bringing with agonisingly sharp pain.

Later Serenra regained consciouness inside a crystal sphere.  Looking around
she saw  six chair facing a hourglass shaped crystal column in the center
and what looked like a door in the side of the chamber.

"Please sit, Your highness" a male voice spoke from the column.

"Whoareyou? Whatareyou? WhereamInow?" Serena gushed while backing away from
the column, not noticing the white crystal chair moving until it was right
behind her.  She fell with a thump into the chair then panicked when a
crystal shield dropped over her and covered her body completly.

"Please do not panic, your highness.  I am Torif,  the AI in charge of the
summer palace of the Moon Kindom.Your body is safe and sound in your bed at
home, you are in your astral body now and it is located in the seed pod for
the palace."

"Let me out of here, I want to go home, I don't like this dream any more!
First I face Princess Serenity who tells that we will become one though we
are the same person already then I end up in a crystal prison, a pretty
prison but still a prison and now I am being held in this throne by a force
crystal and how did I know it was a force crystal. LET ME OUT, LET ME OUT
AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!"  Serena thrashed in side the encasing crystal until her
head hit a blue portion of the crystal.  The walls of the chamber faded out
and she saw the earth from space for the second time that incaration.  The
first time being when the Silver Crystal had brought them to the moon to
talk to Queen Serenity, her mother.  The view stunned her for a few seconds
which allowed Torif to speak over her ranting.

"Please Princess you are alright you are just remebering everything you
learnt back in the Silver Millennium.  Now will you listen to me, please"

"Oh alright, but this had better be good. Creep!"

"Serenity! Please there is no need for bad manners you are merely dreaming
this meeting.  You will not meet me in person until you have learnt enough
to understand me and my function.  Cease that whining until you are actually
hurt.  Now could you please look at the centre of the column in front of you"

Serena bit her lip and looked into the column and the fascinating light
within.  It was blinking on and off rapidly and she was seeing nothing but
the light. The light was the center of her world, she was dimly aware of
being asked questions and answering them but she was not involved there was
only the light.

"SERENA, GET UP YOU ARE LATE FOR SCHOOL AGAIN!" Luna yelled in her charges ear

"Huh? Ow, Advisor Luna you did not have to yell, Why did not use the force
beam of your enchantment?"

"Serena, what is wrong with you? Why are you speaking Lunarian? And what is
this force beam your talking about?"

"The third degree will have to wait until after school, Luna.  Now have I
noted a teleport point near School?  Yes I have.  See you later, Luna."

"Serena, are you going to get dressed first?"

"Opps, theres always something I forget isn't there."  Serena giggled to her
self for a short time.  Then before Luna's astonished eyes, Serena muttered
three words under her breath and she was clothed in her school uniform.

Just then everything she had done impacted on Serena and she fell in a heap
as her legs gave way under the shock. "Just what is happening to me? Luna
do you have any idea?"

"The only thing I can think of is that some thing has triggered all your
memories of the Silver Millennium.  That's just not possible, you would need
to have contact with your olderself or with an intelligent artifact from
the Moon."

"Luna, last night I dreamt about Princess Serenity.  She said something about
the fact that we were to be intergrated, then the dream changed to the seed
of the summer palace and I spoke to Torif there.  Luna, who is Torif and why
do I remeber how to teleport by myself."

"Torif, Torif, why does that name sound familiar... Did you just say you were
in the seed for the summer palace, Serena?"

"Yes, the summer palace, the palace of dreams... I did it again! Just what is
going on here, Luna?"

"I'll tell you what Artemis and I have worked out after school, Serena. Right
now I think you had better get to school."

"Alright Luna.  May Selene's light show you the way."

Serena stood with that. Grasping the broach containing the crystal, she
vanished.  Leaving a shellshocked Luna behind her.

"The words of Parting, how is she remebering all of this?  She wasn't as ditzy
as normal too.  This does not bode well for the future."

With that Luna jumped out of the open window and sped of towards Mina's home.

Miss Haruna entered the class room and stoped in shock.  Sitting in her desk
was Serena of all people. She was early, ten minutes early! <I need to sit
down> Miss Haruna did so, her legs colapsing under the shock.  Two minutes
later the rest of the class walked in to see Miss Haruna lying down in the
doorway her eyes spinning in their sockets.

"Miss Haruna whats up?"  Melvin said in his gossip mongering voice.

"Ser.. Ser..  Serena"

"Whats wrong with Serena, Miss Haruna?"

"Yes Miss Haruna, what is wrong with me?"

Melvin looked up in shock at Serena's voice and stared at her sitting in her
desk gazing back at him with interest.  Melvin felt his world collapsing.
Serena EARLY at school.  Just then the rest of the class walked, took one
look at Serena and facefaulted.

Amy was the first to recover her senses. "Serena, are you feeling alright?"

"Yes, Amy I am feeling fine.  In fact I have never felt better." Serena then
added in lunarian "We need to see Luna tonight, Princess Amy of Mercury."

"What did you, oh wait a sec."

Amy lifted her computer and typed in several commands.  On the screen appeared
the translation for what Serena had spoken as well as several new options for
the inbuilt sensors.

Miss Haruna finaly got to her feet and staggerd to her desk.  "Alright Class
lets just get on with todays work.  Homework check first,  Serena have you
done your homework?" The last was said with some trepidation.  Miss Haruna
didn't know if she could take another shock this morning.

Serena opened her bag and searched franticly through it.  "My homework, no
Miss Haruna it's not done."

The class let out a sigh of relief, maybe Serena was just having a bad day.

"Yay, lunch time.  Come on Amy we're out of here."  Serena grabbed Amy and
pulled her out of the classroom, ignoring Amy's efforts to convice her to stay
and do an extra credit essay.  Amy finaly gave up and just studied her friend.
Same meatball hair style, same big blue eyes, same blond hair, same cresent
moon on the forehead... Same cresent moon on the forehead!

"Serena, are you sure your alright?  I mean look at you, your cresent moon is
visible, you didn't eat lunch during class, you actually paid attention in
class, you answered several question on the board without Miss Haruna having
to ask you and you got them right.  Not only that but you spoke to me in some
strange languge that my computer understands and you call me by title.  So
Serena just what is going on here."  Amy said in a low voice in a corner of
the school yard.  Lita looked up at Amy then glanced over at Serena before
blinking in surprise.  There was a cresent moon in the middle of Serena's fore
head.

"I have no idea Amy.  What I do know is that for some reason Princess Serenity
and I are being intergrated into one personality.  From the signs I have been
showing, I think that Princess Serenity's personality will be show forth the
most."

Lita blinked again, that had actually sounded mature.  Lita looked over at
Serena's eyes and froze.  Her eyes were the total blue that usally preceded
her transformation to Princess Serenity.

"Serena,  your eyes are totally blue and you just started to glow pink again."
Lita's voice was soft and trembling.  All her senses spoke of power, a power
that was moments from being unleashed.

Serena looked down at her school uniform as it shifted in to the formal
audience gown she had worn on the last day of the Silver Millenium.  She
muttered three words and before the eyes of Amy and Lita, her dress shifted
back to the school uniform.
