Well, then only thing I know better then anime is RPGs... so let me jump
in here, before Tybalt cuts it off...
Lodoss is _NOT_ based on AD&D, so you can't use any of their rules for
Elven Society there... It _IS_ based on the old Dungeons and Dragons
rules, so we will have to go there...
Gee, haven't played that since I was 7!
At any rate... High Elves, also known as Gold Elves, are the nobility of
the Elven Court. They are the ones that generally live deep in the
forests and never come out, because they are too good for everyone
else... They generally have bronze or gold skin, with greenish gold eyes
and honey hair...
Moon, or Grey, Elves, are the more commonly seen elves. They are the
commoners of the Elven Court, and as such, relate to Humans much better.
Coloration is generally grey or silver skin, with blue eyes and blue or
black hair.
Wood Elves, or Wild Elves, are kind of the rednecks of Elven Society.
They live in the forest, and act like wild pygmies do in those bad
jungle safari movies. Copper skin, Green eyes, and generally red hair.
We'll ignore the Sea elves and the Avians. They don't show up much any
way...
On to my favorites, the Drow. Black skin, white hair, red eyes. These
are the evil elves. They are forced to live underground by the surface
elves, and carry an scathing hatred for them. They consider themselves
the only True Elven race, the rest are thought of as pointy eared
humans.
Now, people generally refer to Drow as Dark Elves. Dark Elves are a
seperate thing entirely. Dark Elves are renegades that have been
punished by the Elven Council, and have had their elven status revoked.
So all Drow are Dark Elves, but not all Dark Elves are Drow.
So I think Pirotess was a Drow, and Deedlit was a High Elf... Hope this
helps someone.. Was sure fun writing it...
What race next? Dwarves? Kender?
Flint and Tas?
