With the vast volume of fanfic out there these days, I wonder how
possible it is to "pay enough attention".
It *is* difficult ... one of my buddies, Tim Nolan, has told me that
I'm on the short list of writers he reads while he's writing something (and
I consider that to be a compliment of the highest, since he's one of the
best, if not in fact *the* best Sailor Moon author out there.)
Chris, you're on my short list, too. ^_^
Which is, of course, why I applaud the efforts of people like the
Evangelion Fanfic Review Syndicate, who try to bring attention to other
people's works. I wish that there was a similar group with a broader
charter, to publicise works in all genres ...
Thank you. ^_^ Fing is, with your idea...that's not just broader,
that's potentially _very_ broad. And just difficult, generally. I mean,
for us four on the EFRS, if EVA fic output became that of Ranma--I'd love
it, but we wouldn't be able to do our stuff, because we do have lives
(marginally). To extend that beyond.... I suppose you could do a grouping
of some animes, maybe do a review group for all Tenchi/El Hazard/AMS or
some other combo...but that would seem rather haphazard. I dunno.... Am I
making sense to anybody? 'Cos I'm not quite making sense to myself.
