tries one more time, awakening the essence within Ryoga. Now Ryoga's essence
is no where near as powerful as Ranma's original essence (he's a pig, whatta
expect? ;). But his dark ki and depression help to fuel the Raging Demon
within. (Knowledge of Murderous Intent Insanity's Rage Hibiki Ryoga). If
this happens, Ranma gets beaten by Ryoga then (SOMEONE) jumps in. It is at
this point that Ryoga kills someone. 

  I would suggest option 2 unless you want a really dark fic.  If Ranma
were to kill Ranko, in a sense he would be killing himself.  Think what
that would do to Ranma who already has a few problems with mental stability
and identity (his neko state, his worries over his sexual identity, his
dysfunctional family).  If, on top of that, he has to deal with a murderous
Ryoga, Akane, Shampoo and the consequences of sleeping with Shampoo, then
Ranma will likely be the new poster child for mental problems.
