   Take for example Ranma his female side get split into two. Now for
me this was a totally new idea at the time I thought of it, but since
that time I've seen messages bashing the entire concept as done to
death. How many other people have had such things happen? I would point
out that the stories might have nothing to do with each other except for
only one thing, but it still is put down for using it..

I thought of that once...that same idea you mentioned. But instead, it would be
a very thought provoking fanfic on his split. I still might do it. It's about
Ranma being split into identical parts, both even having the curse. Now, while
split, one of the Ranma dies and the other one lives....the reader would find
out that the one that died was the REAL Ranma, and that the clone one survived.
But since they're identical...does it matter?
