I thought this was a nicely written story, with good balanced
characterization of Ranma and Akane.

BUT...

I really can't buy the ending. It's not believable to me that Nabzy
would be that cruel to Ranma -- especially when she's not making any
profit off it. This just seems a bit sadistic for her.

<boggle>  Did you read the manga story where Nabiki and Ranma spend the
day in the house alone together after he accidentally destroys her
front-row concert ticket?  She puts him through all sorts of hell.  Nabiki
is quite capable of such acts if she thinks the recipient deserves it -
and, given Ranma's treatment of Akane at the beginning of the story, he
certainly does.  :)
