Just a question that's been bugging me for a while, what are the

correct way

to spell some of the names?

Ukyou or Ukyo?
Ryouga or Ryoga?
Kunou or Kuno?

These names are spelt both ways by people, although strictly

speaking,

Ukyou Ryouga Kunou are the correct ones. In Japanese there are long

o's

and there are short o's. In the hiragana alphabet, there are a bunch

of

characters, each of which can be written out in romaji (i.e. with

English

alphabet). 

No, "strictly speaking", those are *not* the correct ways to spell
the names. As it has been said thousands of times on anime newsgroups
and on this ML, there is *no* one correct way to spell these names,
"strictly speaking", in romanji, because Japanese words *are not
written for romanji*. "Strictly speaking", the CORRECT way to spell
these names (in hiragana) would be:

(Ukyou)

��礦��
(Ryouga)

��Ǻ>
(Kunou, because not even Ranma spells this one in
hiragana...<snicker>)

Mokou-Takabisha, Moukou-Takibisha or Mouko-Takabisha?

pretty sure it's

Hiryu Shoten Ha

but I may be wrong.

He's not; he's referring to the Hiryuu Kourin Dan, which Ranma used
against Herb in the battle over the Kaisuifuu. No more JIS, you get
the point by now...

Now, can we please bury this subject? It really didn't need to be
unearthed again...
