Ya know, I almost didn't read this, but I'm glad that I did. I expected
it to be just a video game style fighting tournament (ugh); I was
incredibly pleasantly surprised to see that (evidently) the real test is
going to be one of character.

The writing was very good. I would like a little more insight into the
major characters, though -- Ryoga, in particular, is just sort of there.
