You're confusing the OAV and TV storylines.  The stories about Aeka and
Ryouko as children are TV series.  Ryouko attacking Jurai and being imprisoned
in the cave is OAV series.

While that may be ture, Ayeka spoke of Ryoko in a very farmilar way:  "Not
that monster woman", in the OAV before she even brought Ryoko on board.  So
while the flavor of the OAV leads me to believe that the two women's past
relationship was not quite so comical as in the TV series, it's not
nesecarily untrue that they didn't meet when they were younger.  I think
that it's possible to combine story elements form both series (Like bringing
Keyone into a Tenchi story after the OAV) as long as they don't contradict
eachother in the same story.
