I must agree.  NXE has finally overcome almost all of its early weaknesses
and emerged as both a truly great piece of Eva fic and a truly great
example that a nigh-perfect author insertion is NOT a death warrant for a
fic...especially when the authors are willing to let up on the perfection
as things get more intense.

I cannot stress enough---If you've seen a capable amount of Eva, GIVE THIS
FIC A SHOT.  It's one of the best Eva fics out there presently, if you're
not bloodset against new characters, and you're spoiler-safe with the first
volume if you've seen, hrm, well I'd only seen till episode 12 at the time,
let's put at that.  (Fair warning, the second volume gets into late-series
spoilers relatively quickly, and I really don't recommend it to anyone who
hasn't seen up to episode 24.)
