This is fan rumor, but I don't believe it's true.

Asuka was born September 4, 2001. That's just shy of 12 months after the
second impact, which occurred (will occur) on September 13, 2001. The fan
rumor is untrue. 

There is another example that can be confirmed taking only the videotapes 
as canon. However, it is a major spoiler, so I'm not including it.
