I did.  I understand completely.  When I was
studying journalism in college, before my Navy
days, I found that that presenting the
information "without fear or favor" (as the
motto of the Japan Times so succinctly puts it)
was a tenet of the business.   It was the fact
that a lot of my fellow students wouldn't do
this--a fact that I believe that my professors
encouraged--that led me to become disillusioned
with the whole process.

I fully agree with you on your points, and also
agree that the "Blow up USA Today" concept is a
bit extremist and tends to give the oktau
concept the bad image that some people would
portray it as.
