Akane's not the only one who doesn't understand that. You better have

a

good explanation for us readers, 'cause Ranma didn't seem depressed 

when

you were writing from his POV. Personally, my guess would be that he
SAID shishi hokodan but DID a moko takabisha in order to confuse
Happosai. :)

     Khat jumps up and down waving her hands like a student that for
once actualy knows the correct answer. She stops jumping, takes
deep breath, and states;
     "The Shi Shi Hokadan uses "Heavy" Chi, such as those created by
depression, and _RAGE_.  Ranma won't EVER be depressed.  However,
Ranma is definitly ENRAGED by Happosai's unwillingness to help
find the father of a child born by one of his former students without
trying to take advantage of Ranma."

You know, I can't help but wonder what would have happened if Ranma had
just told him about Natsume's pregnancy.  I'm sorry, but I could almost
see Happosai trying to HELP.
