As those who've read Flashman's "Trio" series are aware, the 
amnesiac Ranma and Usagi have discovered romantic feelings for each 
other, to the point that they're dating.  There are obviously pros & cons  
to this, thus this comment.

Pro for Ranma:  
1) Usagi doesn't hit him nearly as often as his other suitors.
2) Usagi improves at cooking more rapidly than Akane (who *does* improve 
in the manga, thank you very much.)
3) Usagi doesn't mind being rescued all the time.
4) At full power, Usagi can take on all the other suitors at once.

Pro for Usagi:
1) Ranma is closer to her intellectual level than Mamoru.
2) Ranma can fill in as a senshi if needed; he looks good in a miniskirt. 

Con for Ranma:
1) Unresolved feelings for Akane once his memory returns.
2) Marrying Usagi will not deal with *any* of the honor/tribal law 
issues. 
3) Four broken hearts, as opposed to the usual three.
4) He gets Usagi's enemies added to his own problems.

Con for Usagi:
1) She's already in love with Mamoru, to the point of a sexual 
relationship and the assumption of marriage in the near future.  This is 
likely to be a *big* problem once her memory returns.
2) She's already seen the future, and Ranma wasn't there.  Indeed, given 
when Chibi-Usa was born, it would seem he didn't even make it the next 
four years...
3) Ranma's other suitors, some of whom are very hazardous to her health.  
4) Broken trust among the Senshi.  If she dumps Mamoru, her soulmate, so 
easily, how can the other Senshi trust her to stick up for *them*?  
Especially Rei, who gave up Mamoru for Usagi's sake.
5) This "betrayal" could send Mamoru over the edge, turning him into an 
abusive monster...  (Thank you Douglam Helm :-)

Con for Both

1) Financial difficulties.  Ranma's other suitors come with 
dowries/employement.  Usagi doesn't.
2) Ranma may be Chibi-Usa's natural father.  (Redhead genes plus silver 
hair genes = pink hair, and wouldn't it explain a lot about her 
personality?) 
3) Ranma and Usagi may be Setsuna's birth parents.  (She said this piece 
of history was important to her specifically, and since Flashman has 
specifically stated nooky with Trunks is not her main objective, what 
more likely than ensuring her own birth?)

Anything else anyone can think of?  (remembering the circumstances laid 
out in the story itself...)
