thoughts about what hitting one's partner means in real life, because this is
Ranma 1/2 and it just isn't all that big a deal in Ranma 1/2.

But even BE by itself is massively inconsistent about this. Akane's
violence -- and *only* Akane's -- is treated realistically, while Ranma
got knocked around by lots of different people in the original series.
