The Golden morninng dawn wafted through the stained glass windows
 of
the converted church. Four Teenaged girls rushed about the around
the
Cathedral turned Living quarters. The four had moved to get away
from
their families and to be with The men, or other worldly beings that
they loved. The last month had been a learning experience for the
group.
They were learning the difficulties of life on their own, and had the
relief that they no longer had to as careful with their secret, at
least not while at home. Ami had, Tolaris, Serena had Darein, Leda
had
Rei'Shead, and Mina had Maze. Only Rei had not moved in. She had
stayed at the temple not wanting to drag her current love intrest
into
the battles that plagued the lives of the sailor scouts. The others
had to agree on one thing that morning. Rei was lucky she din't have
eight
people to share three restrooms with. The small crows rushed
through
their early mourning rituals before school. Leda was cooking up a
storm in the kitchen, Serena was dragging herself out of bed, while
Mina and Ami were having a verbal fencing match over who was
was next in the
    shower.
After everyone had finished breakfsst the group started off for
Their destination,
Juuban High, and a new potential problem. With the attacked that had
occured the day before,
and the student who had been it's target. With Ami as the only one to
meet Ranma it was clear
Ranma was not normal. With a curse, a lifetime spent on the road, and
people who appearently wanted to see him dead Ranma was a
 potential problem.

At that smae moment a few blocks away. Ranma-chan is walking down
the street reading
a note. "Ranma, my time in this world is growing short. The tribe
has declared war on you,
and those they consider your family. I have taught you all I could in
the last months I knew
you and hope that it will be enough. The only thing I ask from you,
pass on the legacy of my
tribe. Don't let my peoples lore fade with history. You will need
what I have taught you in
the time to come, the elders have have broken the Black Seal, and and
opened the way for
opened the way for the armies of a dark dimension into our world."

Ranma crumpled the paper in her hand.
Worry etched in Ranma-chan's face. Cologne had sent a massage to
him/her.
Considering the problems he had caused her family in refusing to marry
Shampoo, it had to be a very severe threat for Cologne to give warning,
and it explained the
reasons that she had stayed to train Ranma over the course of the
summer. She had expected his
action from the tribe, or at least something Ranma wasn't ready for.
That made Ranma nervouse
even if he wouldn't admit it. After the battles with Saffron and Herb,
Ranma thought things
couldn't get any more hectic. Destiny seemed determined to prove him
wrong once again.

Turning his Thoughts from the letter, Ranma walked through the
gates onto school grounds
to start his second day at Juuban.

Leda Kino, walked through the crowd of students that was Juuban
high, searching for her
class Leda slipt through the crowd. she had missed the first day of
classes as she had been
moving her things in to the cathedral, and had wanted to be done with
the chore of arranging her
room, and getting things set up for the next year. The tall Brown
haired girl shook her head in
dismay as she walked into her first hour class, history with Hiro
Tanuka. Sliiping into the
room Leda slid into as chair as the bell rang signaling the start of her
day,

As the class progressed Leda sighed the droning from the
instructor wearing down her
endrance as the class progressed. The monotony finally breaking as the
bell rang. Breaking for
the door Leda managed trampling two of her classmatesin haste to escape
the class that had only
started her day. Racing down the hall she tore into the home-ec room
with blinding speed
relieved to be in one of the few places she could find solace, a
kitchen, or at lleast what
 passed for one.

As Leda began to settle into her chair Ami pushed her way passed
the throng of students
in the hall through the small door. Grabbing a seat next to her friend
Ami grinned the thought
of having her friend in this particular class with her was a bit ironic.
 Especially considering
the skill that Leda had in the kitchen. That with the little delima of
having to keep an eye on
the resident martial artist would make this a most intresting year. The
class shuffled into the
room as the warning bell rand not wanting to be late, and much to
everyone's suprise Ranma walked
into the room appearntly none the worse for wear. The only difference
seemed to be that he had
accually worn something nearly appropriate for school. In the place of
the red battle shirt was
a black long sleaved shirt, and the bracers which had been so prominent
the day before seemed to
be missing.

What had changed most about the young man in Ami's eyes was the
wary look in his eyes as he moved into the room. The attack from the day
befor was clearly bothering him, and he was
acting as if he expected another to occur at any momentcarefuly sliping
into his chair oppisit
Ami, Ranma sighed with relief. When the class finally got under way the
students listened as Ms. Kyushiro, spoke in a high pitched, animated
voice. "Now class when preparing your salads you should always endeavor
to make the dish as presentable as possible so that it will be as
appealing to the eye as possible. Now if you're done cleaning your
vegitable you can begin
chopping the vegitables in even piece so you can optimize the appearance
of your dish." As she
Finished speaking she pased by each of the small groups who were busy
creating there dished many
They were barely getting started, at least until she reached Ami's Table.
 The Students sitting
there were grinning at each other and when she saw the salad she almost
fainted it was finished,
and what was more it was a sculpted floral patern that would take no
small skill to make. "Okay,
just who's resposible for this?" As on the table turned to Ranma who was
grinning sheepishly.
"Saotome School anything goese salad sculpting, so what you think?"

The tiny woman could only stare at the dish the damp red head had
had prepared.
It was good, a better than any Ms.Kyushiro had ever seen. "Kid, I don't
need a show off in this class, so please don't cause any more trouble.
You were only supposed to learn proper chopping techniques today."

"I think I can do that, I can only cook a few dishes after all,
but that is why I'm here. About the only thing I'm good with in the
kitchen besides salad is currie so don't worry I'll be good. Next time
I'll even let the rest of the table do most of the work.

As for the rest of the class they were still staring straight at
Ranma. In Ami's eyes what after the previous day everyone in the school
had heard something about him. They knew about the curse, and while many
times it would have caused a lot of trouble with students starting fights
with Ranma. The attack had stopped that. The few people who had seen
what happened had already spread it around the school, and so far it
seemed to be stopping any fights, but that couldn't keep up. Ranma's
reputation preceded him, and trouble makers were always plentiful even if
they weren't always human.

Suddenly a piercing screech tore the air as a small blur streaked
through the window
landing under a table in one corner of the room before streaking into
Ranma's open bag. Barely makeing it to the dark confines of the bag
before an explosion shook the room. almost as if they were one being the
class looked out the window. A sight that had not been meant for the
eyes of man towering upwards of fifty feet was tearing its way directly
toward the school, It's three heads seemed fixed on a singular purpose
the destruction of everything in it's path. Barely a heart beat had
passed before the students rushed for the exitspanicked at sight of the
monster that was fast approaching. Both Leda and Ami were left behind by
the throng of students, and barely noticed yhe pigtailed girl leap from
the window to start advancing on the monster. Even then they paused for
only a heart beat before raising their wands into the air, and became
engulfed in swirling light. As the pair leapt out the window to join the
battle.
