	Why not?

Okay here's an idea that I plan on doing sometime in the future.

A noir starring Ryouga as a private eye who just got out of a ten year

jail term

For what, I wonder? And I wonder who got him put away... and what he plans to
do about it...

and it takes place in 1950's New York. It'll

be real grim and gritty.

No Ranma-style comedy at all? Making it _entirely_ serious might force you to
abandon the original strengths of the series. Can you resist the temptation to
try your hand at "The Maltese Piglet"? "The Thin Man 1/2"? "Farewell My
Akane"?

It'll sort of be like Sin City and some other

noir stuff like ChinaTown, Kiss Me Deadly, The Asphalt Jungle

and a bunch of movies I forgot the names to. Anyone want to

make any suggestions? Until I find better things to write about. Ja ne.

Sure, go for it, but only as at least part-comedy...great opportunites here
for skewering the genre(s). Akane as a mysterious lady in black... who just
happens to wield a remarkably big hammer... that's one image that pops
immediately to mind.

	A few questions (suggestions?):

Do you intend the other regulars to appear as stereotypical film noir
characters? (Hope so...)

Does Ryoga still suffer from his curse? (Very much hope so...)
"It was raining in the Big Apple. A hard rain, hard enough to wash the slime
from...oh, damn..." * Kweeeeee!!! *

Does his sense of misdirection play a part in his stumbling into danger,
clues, etc.? (It should...)
