All right.

	All right.

I may get flamed for this, but at this point, someone's gotta
speak out.

	So must I.

The ffml has no taste. If the ffml were a human, it'd be wearing
neon
pink skis, a polka-dot suit, a Barney tie, and the car it would drive
would be a rusty Ford Pinto rigged with neon lights and a wretched
rendition of 'viva las vegas' blaring every time you honk the horn.

Interesting image, but the taste of the FFML as a whole cannot be
judged in one swoop. It's not entirely fair.

Mike Loader, along with Susan Doenime, has been writing one of
the most original and well thought-out stories I've ever read,
'Ill Met By Starlight'. It's dark, sharp, and at times it's
very chilling.

Your opinion only. Since I haven't read it, I cannot agree or
disagree.

It's also gotten zero response from this list.

Not a good way to judge the popularity of the fic. Anyone who cared
enough about the fic would have responded in private. I know that when
A fic is particularly touching, I mail the author privately.

Mike writes, what he admits to me is a 2 hour spitball of a fic
written merely to make a point.

Not only does it get FAR more response than 'Ill Met By Starlight'
but it seems everyone's missed the point that Mike was trying
to make!

Again, not far for the majority of the list. A good portion of the
fanfic reading community here stores fics for later use. A short fic
is easier and quicker to read when you are cramped for time, and
therefore more likely to get a response. A sillyfic or spamfic also
has a better chance of drawing the attention of people who are not on
the FFML for the appropriate reasons. Or people who are more
interested in generating idle conversation than read or write fics.

I dunno. Heck with it. Maybe I'm the one that's outta touch
here, but that's what I havta say.

Nope, you're just the one who's trying to convince the FFML to have
what YOU consider taste.

-rod, off to rev up his Ford Pinto.

(p.s. By The Way, I never once mailed you, but I read through Surreal
World and Frozen Knights and loved both of them. You can't judge what
popularity a fic has from its FFML attention alone.)
