Greetings,

Can anyone tell me what religious beliefs (system) Ranma and gang
believe in? Also the Sailor Moon cast? I know Rei's a shinto shrine
maiden but what of the others?
Many 'fics to the contrary, it is safe to assume that all Japanese
believe in Shintoism and/or Buddism (the two rites are not mutually
exclusive) unless specifically indicated otherwise (for the Joketsuzoku,
it is safe to say that they are into rather obscure goddess worship rather
than more mainstream chinese faiths). Christianity, for example, is at
best a semi-fringe cult in Japan to this day.

However, Christmas and Western weddings are both very popular. In fact,
Western weddings (which often includes use of a minister) may now outnumber
traditional weddings.
I think denoting Christianity as a "cult" (with the current
connotations) is a little extreme. Being a small minority does not qualify
as a cult. BTW, it is estimated that a quarter of South Koreans are now
Christians.
