Hmmmm.... Interesting. She relaxed her stance about fanfiction some since I
visited her page last june. At that time (or shortly before) this
particular author had stated explicitely that there was to be no
fanfiction. Mainly because there was some negoetiations underway with
Spielberg to do a move based on her Pern Series. Wonder if things fell
through.

        There are a few more rules, especially the no religion and don't ask
her rules.  One of her first decisions was to keep religion out of Pern, and
she would react _badly_ if anyone broke the rule.  Also, if anyone asks her
to officiate a dispute, she'll pull the plug on those people, and if they're
part of club, weyr, etc. she'll cut them off too.

        As for the movie, it's been in negotiation for a while.  I think the
sticking point is Anne won't release creative control.  (I don't blame her).
