Gomen for the

Hi!

HIya!

Uh... I know this is kind of late, but I'm
borrowing (read: lifting,
and generally quoting) parts of this post for
a fanfic I'm working on.
It's basically the part where Soun, Genma,
Ranma and Cologne are going
to the top of Mount Fuji to face off Happosai
in an "epic battle (TM)".
Is there anything I should take note of that
isn't here?

Tell ya what: if you place me on your prereader
list for your fic, I can go over it and point
out any terrain inconsistencies. I can also
additionally make visual suggestions, since I've
seen it firsthand. The Non-fic story was an
EXTREMELY brief telling of my sojourn up the
mountain, and I didn't even come close to what I
wanted to actually say.

(I will be
skimming most of the parts where "mere
mortals" [i. e. non-anime people]
would have trouble. Hey! I won't even dare
climb a mountain! I'm
actually so glad that someone would spare time
to chronicle events that
most of us can't even hope to take part in!)

Not a problem. In fact, being a member of the
US Navy and shipboard, I can comment about all
those places people write about, because I've
seen them first-hand. For example, as I write
this, I'm underway, returning to homeport after
my ship spent four days in Hong Kong (a place
that has turned up in many a fic).
Additionally, my girlfriend lives in the
Suginami ward of Tokyo, so Nerima is within
striking distance (and I have been there). I've
been all over, and would love to assist people
in locations, cultures, or languages (I know
several).

Plenty of thanks... and luck to TOS!
Thanks. The ever-delayed Tales of Shampoo Vol
2 will be out sometime this coming week (really!)
