Ah, but is it a spamfic?
I figured it out very quickly too.  But that didn't stop me enjoying it
quite a bit.  I'd actually like to see a continuation of this one.  It
seems Akane is being set up to be the new Sailor Jupiter ... and that could
work rather well.  It would be interesting to see how she'd mesh into the
group.

I guess it's inevitable that the other characters from Ranma would show up
before long.  In this case, that's sort of a pity.  I think this 'fic would
work best with just Akane.

Wouldn't be much of a place to go with it though.  I mean, it would
just be Akane going through Makoto's motions.

I don't think so.  Sure, there are similarities in character -- but they're
not THAT similar.  Also, as I read the story, Akane has gone through a fair
bit with Ranma & Co. already (though it could also be read that this is an
Akane who hasn't met Ranma yet).  That's going to give her quite a
different perspective from Makoto.

Think about it -- Makoto has a temper, sure, and is inclined toward, um,
rather direct solutions.  But she's basically quite an upbeat character.
The Akane we're seeing here is NOT.  She's just been through something
quite traumatic, whereas Makoto's trauma was all years ago when her parents
died.

There's also the possibility that, since Akane has obviously gone "too far"
once already, she might do it again ...

I think Akane's approach to the Senshi business would be very different
from Makoto's.  And THAT'S what I'm interested in seeing more of.
